Revoltin’ Reviews: Monster Mansion Memories, Tales of Halloween, Gravy, and more!

Autumn is here, and I got reviews up the rear!

Monster Mansion Memories

• Release Date: Available Now on DVD

• Written By: Andy Wolf

• Directed By: Andy Wolf

• Starring: Alan Milair, Bill Lape

Anyone that has read this column even briefly knows that I try and keep the spirit of classic horror movie TV hosts undead and un-well. Morgus, Zacherle, Vampira… I love them, one and all! But as much as I adore and try to emulate these greats of the preternatural past, I’m always amazed at how many more exist that I’ve ne’er heard of. Case in point: the subject of the doc Monster Mansion Memories, Dr. E. Nick Witty and his faithful servant Epal.

A low budget, regional horror program (based out of Syracuse, New York), Monster Movie Matinee still had a sense of lore, not to mention production value that was unheard of in programs of its kind.

Titled "Revival: The Experience," this film stars 2015 double Grammy nominee Mali Music (Best Urban Contemporary Album for his debut album, "Mali Is," and Best Gospel Performance/ Song, "I Believe") as Jesus Christ. 'Cult' casts Jessica Lucas' parents: 'Dawson's Creek' and 'Veronica Mars' alumni to guest star

Though The CW's "Cult" likely won't debut until 2013, the cast and crew is already hard at work shooting the new mystery series up in Vancouver. The show stars Matt Davis as Jeff Sefton, a reporter whose brother goes missing after becoming way too deeply invested in the intense fandom of a CW show. (Kinda makes you want to reconsider your viewing habits, no?)

He teams up with Skye Yarrow (played by "Melrose Place" hottie Jessica Lucas), a researcher who works for the TV show who believes the show is becoming dangerous to its viewers.

Zap2it has exclusively learned that Obba Babatundé and Erica Gimpel have been cast as Yarrow's parents. Usually capable and even-keeled, the devoted parents grow distraught as their daughter gets more involved with the disturbing underworld inhabited by the show's fans.

Babatundé has a long and impressive resume, spanning television and film alike. He had a

The eight-time Emmy® Award winner (not to mention 30+ Emmy nominations) has a voiceover casting/direction resume that spans more than a quarter century, covering the genre gamut from action (Batman: The Animated Series) and humor
