Auerbach recently served as exec VP of NBCUniversal’s Wilshire Studios, where he worked on expanding the studio by selling more than 35 shows. Prior to that, he co-founded and led Go Go Luckey Entertainment, the production company behind shows including MTV’s “Laguna Beach.” He has also served as an executive producer on MTV’s “Punk’d,” Fox’s “Big Deal” and “The X Show.” He also tapped Jon Stewart to host the short-lived sketch comedy series “You Wrote It You Watch It. »

The Jackal Group has inked a first-look agreement with producer Gary Auerbach, who at MTV helped launch such staple series as Laguna Beach and Punk’d. Syfy announces Reactor, a new, weekly half-hour series debuting Thursday, July 16 at 11:30pm/10:30c. Airing during Syfy‘s new late-night programming block, which kicks off at 11pm with game show Geeks Who Drink, hosted and produced by Zachary Levi (Heroes Reborn, Chuck), Reactor’s 12-episode season will be filmed in front of a studio audience.
