Amy Schumer’s ‘I Feel Pretty’ Casts Lauren Hutton, Aidy Bryant, Busy Philipps
STXfilms has rounded out the cast of Amy Schumer’s “I Feel Pretty.”

Game of Thrones” alum Tom Hopper, “Saturday Night Live” cast members Aidy Bryant and Sasheer Zamata, Lauren Hutton, Adrian Martinez, Busy Philipps, and Dave Attell have signed on to the film. They join Michelle Williams, Rafe Spall, and Emily Ratajkowski.

STXfilms has set a June 29 release date for the comedy, which marks the directorial debuts of Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein.

The movie is scheduled to shoot in Boston. Schumer is portraying a woman who struggles with feelings of insecurity and inadequacy on a daily basis, but awakens from a fall, believing she’s suddenly the most beautiful and capable person on the planet.

Wonderland Sound and Vision’s McG and Mary Viola will produce with Voltage PicturesAlissa Phillips, Dominic Rustam, and Nicolas Chartier. Schumer will also produce. Kevin Kane, a frequent collaborator of Schumer’s, will co-produce.

Aidy Bryant, Busy Philipps Round Out Cast for Amy Schumer Comedy 'I Feel Pretty'

Amy Schumer's comedy I Feel Pretty has rounded out its cast.

SNL stand-out Aidy Bryant, SNL grad Sasheer Zamata and Busy Philipps are joining the Stx Films project, along with comedian Dave Attell, Game of Thrones' Tom Hopper, Adrian Martinez and Lauren Hutton.

The newcomers join the already announced cast that includes Michelle Williams, Emily Ratajkowski and Rory Scovel. Screenwriters Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein will make their directorial debut on the feature, which is set to shoot in New York and Boston.

Crashing's Pete Holmes Talks Season 2 Returns, Starts a Beef With Iron Man
HBO’s Crashing may tell a fictionalized version of comedian Pete Holmes‘ life, but that doesn’t mean everything that happens in the series is firmly grounded in reality.

For example: Holmes tells TVLine that filming a scene from the comedy’s upcoming second season felt very much like something out of a classic ’80s sci-fi film. “[There] was this big elaborate rig, and it was like 1 in the morning, and I’m riding around the streets of Chelsea on this bike, and it was very E.T.,” he says.

After taking an extended hiatus from his hit TV series Louie, comedian Louis C.K. is returning to the filmmaking world with his first directorial effort in 16 years entitled I Love You Daddy. The film will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in the Special Presentations section, with the film shot on 35mm black and white film entirely in secret in New York City. The festival released the first photo and cast details this morning, although an exact premiere date was not given yet.

The photo from the Tiff Twitter also reveals that the cast is rounded out by Chloe Moretz, John Malkovich, Rose Byrne, Charlie Day, Helen Hunt and Pamela Adlon. Focus Features has acquired the North American and select international rights to Jason Reitman’s “Tully.” Written by Diablo Cody, the comedy stars Charlize Theron, Mackenzie Davis, Mark Duplass and Ron Livingston.

Tully” tells the story of Marlo (Theron), a mother of three who is gifted a night nanny by her brother (Duplass). Hesitant to the extravagance at first, Marlo comes to form a unique bond with the thoughtful, surprising, and sometimes challenging young nanny named Tully (Davis). The film will premiere in U.S. theaters on April 20, 2018.

Sundance Documentary ‘Nuts!’ Set for Theatrical Release in June

Penny Lane’s documentary “Nuts!” has been set for a theatrical release in June through Michael Tuckman’s mTuckman Media, Variety has learned exclusively.

The film won the Special Jury Award for Editing for Lane and Thom Stylinski at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. It will open at New York City’s Film Forum on June 22, followed by a platform release in select cities across America throughout the summer.

“Nuts!” centers on John Romulus Brinkley, a Kansas doctor who in 1917 discovered that he could cure impotence by transplanting goat testicles into men. “Nuts!” traces Brinkley’s rise from poverty and obscurity to the heights of celebrity, wealth and influence as he transplanted thousands of goat testicles, amassed an enormous fortune, invented junk mail and the infomercial and built the world’s most powerful radio station.
