Odd Mom Out’s” Season 2 guest stars include Drew Barrymore and Blythe Danner. Also in today’s TV news roundup, Netflix has set premiere dates for the second season of “Marco Polo” and its new British historical drama “The Crown.”

Casting:

Drew Barrymore and Blythe Danner will guest star on Season 2 of Jill Kargman’s Bravo series “Odd Mom Out.”

The scripted comedy is based on Kargman’s novel “Momzillas,” which critiques New York’s outrageous Upper East Side ecosystem. Barrymore will play Jill (Kargman) and Andy’s (Andy Buckley) rude neighbor Meredith, and Danner will star as Jill’s mother, Sarah Kaplan.

Odd Mom Out’s” sophomore season will see Jill attempting to reboot her career and Andy struggling to assume the Mr. Mom role in her absence. The new episodes premiere on June 20.

The Crown teaser trailer: Netflix adapts Peter Morgan’s stage play ‘The Audience’.

Netflix today released The Crown teaser trailer. The original series will debut on the streaming service this coming November.

The Crown stars Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II, Matt Smith as Prince Phillip, John Lithgow as Sir Winston Churchill, Victoria Hamilton as the Queen Mother, Jared Harris as King George VI, Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret and Dame Eileen Atkins as Queen Mary, among others.

Here’s the official synopsis for the new show.

Marco Polo Season 2, Queen Elizabeth II Drama Get Netflix Premiere Dates

It has been a long journey, but at long last we have a return date for Marco Polo.

Netflix has announced that Season 2 of the adventure drama will release globally on July 1. The cast for the 10-episode sophomore run includes Lorenzo Richelmy (as Marco Polo), Michelle Yeoh (the Handmaiden), Benedict Wong (Kublai Khan), Joan Chen (Empress Chabi), Zhu Zhu (Kokachin), Tom Wu (Hundred Eyes), Olivia Cheng (Mei Lin), Claudia Kim (Khutulun), Rick Yune (Kaidu), Remy Hii (Prince Jingim), Mahesh Jadu (Ahmad) and Uli Latukefu (Byamba), among others.

Netflix’s Queen Elizabeth II Series ‘The Crown’ Gets a First Look (Video)

A first glimpse of Netflix’s upcoming series “The Crown” was shown during the streaming service’s CES keynote on Wednesday morning.

The show is based on the award-winning play “The Audience” by Peter Morgan and tells the story of Queen Elizabeth II’s early reign. It also reunites Morgan with director Stephen Daldry and producer Andy Harries.

“‘The Crown’ is not only about the royal family but about an empire in decline, a world in disarray and the dawn of a new era,” Morgan said in a statement when the series was first announced. “I am beyond thrilled to be reunited with partners from film, theatre and television for this epic project and delighted to be working for the first time with Netflix.”

While Netflix has only picked up a first season of the show, they’ve said each season of “The Crown” would cover a decade of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign. »
