Antonin Artaud was born on September 4, 1896 in Marseille, Bouches-du-Rhône, France as Antoine Marie Joseph Artaud. He was an actor and writer, known for The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928), Napoleon (1927) and Wooden Crosses (1932). He died on March 4, 1948 in Ivry-sur-Seine, Val-de-Marne, France. See full bio »
