Roone Arledge was born on July 8, 1931 in Forest Hills, New York, USA as Roone Pinckney Arledge Jr. He was a producer and writer, known for ABC's Wide World of Sports (1961), NFL Monday Night Football (1970) and Munich 1972: Games of the XX Olympiad (1972). He was married to Gigi Shaw, Ann Fowler and Joan Heise. He died on December 5, 2002 in New York City, New York.
