Rey Mysterio did an interview recently where he said that he was just waiting for the WWE to call him and say it was go-time for his WWE return. However, that statement might have been taken out of context. It made it sound like there was an agreement between the WWE and Rey Mysterio for his return, and that he is just waiting to hear when they are bringing him back. In his first interview since being reinstated by WWE, Hulk Hogan explained how he apologized to the WWE locker room for audio that captured him using the N-word years ago.
Speaking to his old friend and pro-wrestling photographer Bill Apter on the new wrestling podcast “The Apter Chat,” Hogan said he began his “nervous” address to the current WWE roster ahead of July pay-per-view event “Extreme Rule” with a simple “Thank you guys for the time.”
Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, continued, saying he told the other wrestlers: “The first thing I want to do is tell you guys, 12 years ago I said something. About three years ago it just came to light. And I want to apologize for everything I said. I could give you the ‘woe is me’ story, I could tell you all the things, all the reasons why I was in this space I was in — a very dark,...

Any budding historian will tell you that one of the best places to look for information is in old newspapers and magazines of the era you are researching. There are few better insights than those that come from the adverts, features, and general information considered significant enough to be printed and spread around.
That’s why looking at old wrestling stuff can be so fun for us wrestling fans. There are so many eras and so many things that we all have inevitably missed because of factors out of our hands, and it’s hard to get a picture of how fans felt at the time about these famous events.
Most of our information about the past comes from WWE since they are the only major company left standing that has the resources to tell history. Additionally, this means that obviously we get a very one-sided view...

We all have our most memorable wrestling images indelibly etched in our minds — moments that were so surprising or shocking, or so important and satisfying, that we’ll carry them with us for the rest of our days. WWE knows it, too — they’ve put together dozens and dozens of clip packages over the years that have celebrated (and reinforced) these special moments.
WrestleMania, unsurprisingly, is a hotbed for these images — the huge crowds, the unbeatable atmosphere, and WWE’s own personal narrative (every year, the announcers anxiously anticipate new “WrestleMania moments”) have given the show of shows a place above all others. Still, there are many photos on the list that aren’t from WrestleMania. “Iconic” can happen anytime, anywhere.
Here are the ten most iconic images in WWE history — some we never thought we’d see, others we’d anticipated for years, and still more that...

Despite the significant staff and talent cuts due to the start of the WWE Network, it appears as if the company is pushing forward and still looking to add more content to the digital subscription service, refusing to look back.
1Wrestling.com’s Bill Apter mentioned this week on his Facebook that he was brought in by the WWE to cover several historical topics, saying “Spent a quality day at WWE Network studio yesterday being interviewed (general historical stuff) for several shows! A lot of you have commented on the shows I have already been on and I really appreciate your support more than I can say!”
Apter has worked on numerous Network related projects for the WWE since they planned to launch the network several years ago.
The WWE appears to remain committed to producing more new programming to their service, showing that they remain all-in on the success of the service.
