A biopic of the late Princess Of Wales, Diana was always going to be a controversial project, bringing her under the microscope of the world’s media.
The last two years of the life of ‘England’s Rose’ and ‘The People’s Princess’ will be the focus of Oliver Hirschbiegel’s film, which is now in post-production. Naomi Watts will portray the tragic Royal (a late replacement after Jessica Chastain had to drop out) who after being dogged by the paparazzi all her life, was made to pay the ultimate price while avoiding their persistence on that fateful night in 1997.

Naomi Watts embraced Liev Schreiber during a family vacation in St.-Tropez yesterday. The couple kissed in the sun after hitting the beach with their sons, Sasha and Kai. Naomi met up with her boys while on a break from working on her latest project. Naomi's been in character as Princess Diana since the beginning of the month and has already filmed a few memorable scenes as the late royal. Naomi was caught shooting a Pda with her costar Cas Anvar on a boat as they re-created a getaway Diana took with Dodi Fayed. She was also spotted wearing a black cocktail dress for another setup. The movie, which is due out next year, underwent a title change from Caught in Flight to Diana. View Slideshow › »

In scenes that are bound to cause controversy, Watts is all-too-familiar in the black blazer and white trousers that the Princess was seen wearing in security footage aired around the world after the crash that also killed the limousine's driver, Henri Paul.
