Robert Guthrie has gained remarkable accomplishments as an actor, filmmaker and philanthropist during the 10 years of his career. He has won awards for acting in film as well as directing.

Guthrie's awards include Best Actor for a starring role in a feature film at the American Indian Film Festival, as well as, Best Live Short Film Subject. Best Director at the West Coast American Indian Music Awards, Best Actor at Image Nation Film Festival and most recently the 2010 John Muir award at the Yosemite Film Festival. He has also been honored by the Potlatch Foundation on behalf of North Western Native American communities for representing their culture with authenticity in film. At the Sundance Filmmaker's Lab's, Guthrie was invited to mentor the vision of first time filmmakers alongside a rare list of renowned artists including, Philip Seymour Hoffman (Oscar winner), Robert Redford (Oscar winner), Ed Harris (Golden Globe winner) and Stanley Tucci (Emmy award winner).

While continuing to explore new artistic challenges, Guthrie has used his professional success as a vehicle for positive change. His most recent filmmaking experience is an award winning film so current and relevant to President Obama's signing of the Tribal Law and Order Act that it also, screened at the White House.

While in development for his next feature, Guthrie has teamed up with The American Indian Film Institute to help spread media literacy to the youth of Native communities across the United States. He can most recently be seen in Expiration Date, a film that has won over 37 awards internationally including Best Actor for Guthrie's role as Charlie Silvercloud.

Strengthened by the love of his wife and two children, Robert Guthrie continues his creative growth and development, living and working in Los Angeles.
