He was 53 when his actress daughter Lysette Anthony was born. He was divorced from her mother, Bernadette Milnes, his second wife, when she was quite young. Lysette went to live with her mother and didn't see her father for 5 years. Michael rarely kept in touch, which is something Lysette only forgave him for in the last few years of his life.
