In this episode of the WrestleTalk News, Conor McGregor controversially calls professional wrestlers ‘p***ies’ and slams Brock Lesnar failing a drugs test, and WWE stars reply. Also, WWE have John Morrison in their sights, and Shelton Benjamin sadly injured…

Conor McGregor Slams Wrestlers!

Our top story today is that WWE want John Morrison back! But first, Ufc fighter Conor McGregor has said some really nasty things about professional wrestlers.

In the conference call ahead of his Nate Diaz rematch at Ufc 202, he was asked about Cm Punk’s chances in the octagon, who’s fighting Mickey Gall at Ufc 203:

“For the most part, those WWE guys are p***ies, to be honest. They’re messed up p***ies, if you ask me. Fair play to Brock, he got in and fought, »

5 August 2016 6:50 AM, PDT | TMZ | See recent TMZ news »

[[tmz:video id="0_uhblu4z7"]] They might be studs on the "pro wrestling" circuit ... but even the most talented "real" wrestlers in the WWE would get Rolled Up by Team USA's olympic wrestling team ... so says Kurt Angle.  Angle would know ... he won a gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the 1996 Olympics.  So, when it comes to hardcore competition -- not even guys like Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Finn Balor can compete with Team USA's Daniel Dennis, Tony Ramos and Tyler Graff. »

In this episode of the WrestleTalk News, Ric Flair admits he should never have worked for Tna after his retirement match at Wrestlemania 24, and are WWE bringing back the King of the Ring (again)?

King Of The Ring Returning?

Our top story today is Ric Flair admitting he should never have gone to Tna, but first – are WWE bringing back one of its ‘Big Five’ PPVs?

You know King of the Ring? The old wrestling tournament which, if you won, you had to walk around wearing a crown and pretending to be an actual king. It worked wonders for the most recent winners, Sheamus in 2010 and Bad News Barrett last year.

I’m being sarcastic.

But King of the Ring has also had its moments – from Kurt Angle suplexing Shane McMahon through »

The following is a guest post from WrestleTalk. Subscribe to their YouTube channel for new videos every day.

In this episode of the WrestleTalk News, an update on all the ex-wwe stars returning to the company, a special focus on Kurt Angle, and Ddt’s latest Ironman Heavymetalweight Champion.

Audience Wins Championship?

Our top story today is the latest update on ex-wwe stars returning to the company for the brand split, but first…a good crowd can make or break a wrestling match. Few crowds, though, ever win an actual championship.

Ddt Pro-Wrestling are a Japanese indy promotion famed for their mixture of strong style, hardcore and comedy matches. And they have one of the least prestigious titles in wrestling today: the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship – which, for a quick summary, is the WWF’s Hardcore Title on crack.

Just like the Attitude era belt, the Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship is defended 24/7. On one occasion, »

In this episode of the WrestleTalk News, rumours of Kurt Angle and Mvp for a return to WWE, with two ex-WWE stars already confirmed for Smackdown Live. And is Roman Reigns finished as a top star?!

Roman Reigns Done As Top Guy!

Our top story today is the load of ex-WWE stars returning to the company for the Brand Split, but first, he’s not a good guy. He’s not a bad guy. And, for the foreseeable future at least, he’s not a top guy.

Vince McMahon has been pushing Roman Reigns as WWE’s next John Cena – the new face of the company – for over two years, but Plan A has now been seemingly abandoned. Even before Reigns’ Wellness Policy violation last month, a huge portion of the fanbase rejected him, »

Brock Lesnar’S Ufc 200 Win

Brock Lesnar is by far WWE’s most high-profile talent right now, winning his first fight in 4 1/2 years at Ufc 200 over the weekend. But all that got was a 30 second photo montage recapping the victory. John Cena got more plugs for hosting the Espys this coming Wednesday. Mr Robot Season 2 got more plugs than Ufc 200.

It’s weird because it’s not like WWE and Ufc are competition or anything. They’re totally different things, guys. Not competition at all. Completely separate. They just »

Luke Owen looks at the best and worst moments of this week’s WWE Raw

This week’s show is going to draw a terrible rating due to the national holiday, and as such WWE put out the sort of lame-duck show one would usually see around Christmas and New Years time.

It was main evented by a cluster-tag match, a feud was seemingly ended (quickly) and there was a champion vs. champion match that means absolutely nothing in 2016. So let’s look at the best and worst from the show with our Boo! Yay! rating system.

Boo! Enzo & Cass involved with the Social Outcasts

It was slightly worrying last week when Enzo & Cass – one of the hottest acts on the roster – were involved in a terrible in-ring segment with The J.O.B. Squad 2016, The Social Outcasts. It was worrying because it was an awful use of the characters, »

Review: WWE Us Championship - A Legacy of Greatness (Blu-ray)

19 May 2016 2:43 AM, PDT | Shadowlocked | See recent Shadowlocked news »

WWE releases come in two flavours, the regular PPV sets that are always good for reliving those favourite moments, and the releases that focus on a particular topic or aspect of the WWE’s illustrious history. These latter releases have proved to be exceedingly well put together over the last few years, having established a winning template of including a feature length documentary accompanied by a couple of dozen matches.

I was somewhat disappointed to discover, then, that the new WWE Us Championship – A Legacy of Greatness release doesn’t include a documentary, as I would have thought that the long and varied history of this often overlooked belt would have been ideal for this treatment.

Instead we get a bumper crop of matches that are introduced in groups by short clips of John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield awkwardly reading off his autocue and not entirely convincing the viewer that he really wants to be there. »

‘WWE – The Us Championship: A Legacy of Greatness’ Review

16 May 2016 10:32 AM, PDT | Blogomatic3000 | See recent Blogomatic3000 news »

I’ve often said that I find the history WWE Blu-Ray releases the best, so when one was released celebrating the Us Championship I was obviously looking forward to it. Although we often see people like John Cena dominating the belt these days it has one of the more interesting histories of any of the belts. WWE – The Us Championship: A Legacy of Greatness reveals just how varied this history is.

The fact that WWE now has a huge library of footage from all kinds of wrestling federations from the past allows them to pull out some real gems. These include matches that aren’t even complete, and don’t feature commentary. This is the case of Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat with Andre the Giant as guest referee. Filmed in 1978 in Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling it is a nice addition for the history loving wrestling fan, especially those who love Andre. »

Since its debut at Madison Square Garden in New York City on March 31, 1985, WWE’s annual WrestleMania extravaganza has brought us some of the greatest pro wrestling matches ever contested.

Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat (1987), Savage vs. The Ultimate Warrior (1991), Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon (1994), Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin (1997), Austin vs. The Rock (2001), Michaels vs. Kurt Angle (2005), Edge vs. The Undertaker (2008), Michaels vs. Undertaker (2009 and 2010) and others held at the show of shows are widely regarded as classics.

Along this epic journey, through 31 events on which there have collectively been more than 320 matches, Vince McMahon’s organisation has subjected us to oodles of painfully average and dismal confrontations, which are not remembered fondly — or even remembered at all. Of course it has. And then there are those matches which fall into another category: bouts dismissed by pundits and wrestling devotees as absurd, tedious or dreadful which, upon further evaluation, »
