Lira was an Economics major in college when on a dare she attended an audition with a friend. From that audition she landed the lead role, working with the award-winning Playwright Ed Bullins in the show "In the Wine Time". It was a life changing moment for Lira - who then changed her major to theatre and went on to attend The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She has enjoyed working in film and television and her love for Theatre has taken her to the East coast to work in the play "Mothers" a Bill Cosby Comission at Crossroads Theatre and to the West coast at Mark Tapper Forum in the play "Change of Heart". She is a company member of Towne Street Theatre. Lira lives in Los Angeles. She enjoys yoga, gardening, cooking, working on her musical projects in her studio, reading and spending time with her family.
