- Tuca won English Culture Award of Theater for best actor for his role in the play "Rocky Horror Show" (1995).
- He was nominated for a Mambembe Award for best actor in a childhood show for the play "O Pequeno Grão de Areia" (1987).
- He was nominated for a SATED/RJ Award for revelation actor for his role in the novel "O Dono do Mundo" (1991).
- Tuca's biggest theater success was the play "Orlando Silva" where he played Orlando Silva, a very famous Brazilian singer. The play had more than 10 million spectators only in São Paulo.
- He is acting in the novela "Da cor do pecado" ("The color of sin") in the role of Kaike, a sensitive father (July 2004)
