Following this year’s Survivor Series PPV it would seem that a new stable has been born and is enjoying a successful genesis on WWE television. If rumours are to be believed then the trio of Nxt ‘rookies’ consisting of Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns will form a new faction under the leadership of Cm Punk and Paul Heyman – an exciting prospect if the angle and the group are handled correctly. With sufficient build up this could lead to big things for the likes of Rollins who would likely be the breakaway star of the group and ultimately feud with Punk somewhere down the line. But for now all we can do is speculate on where this all is leading. To celebrate the most exciting stable in recent memory as well as the release of the Nwo DVD we take a look at some of the best – and »

With the recent news that WWE Studios and Warner Bros. are working on a new animated crossover between Scooby Doo and the stars of the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment – formally WWF), I thought I’d delve into the world of professional wrestling and movie crossovers.
This isn’t the first time WWE stars have appeared with movie characters. And I’m not talking about actors appearing on wrestling programs or wrestlers trying to act, I’m talking about WWE characters interacting with fictional movie and TV characters. Most recently, Harry, Curly and Moe appeared on Monday Night Raw to promote The Three Stooges movie (one of them said it was the most embarrassing thing he’d ever done). They came down did some wacky backstage skits before coming down to the ring where they were beaten up by Kane. It was about »
Last night’s WWE SmackDown spoiler results. The show will air Friday night on SyFy (Us) and on Sky Sports (UK).
Alberto Del Rio opens the show without Ricardo Rodriguez and recaps his attack on Sheamus on Raw. Sheamus’s music hits but out comes Rodriguez dressed like Sheamus instead, including white tights and a shirt to emulate “The Celtic Warrior’s” white skin. He does a really funny imitation of Sheamus as Del Rio interviews him. Then the real Sheamus comes out and they brawl up to the ramp.
Teddy Long then appears in a suit and with a big nametag. He says that John Laurinaitis has put the show is in his hands tonight and he’s booking Sheamus vs Kane in the main event and a Del Rio vs Great Khali match to open the show now…

Former WCW World Heavyweight Champion Ron Simmons (aka Faarooq in the WWE) is the latest name revealed for this year’s WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2012.
Simmons’s most notable achievement was becoming the first officially recognised African-American singles World Heavyweight Champion when he defeated Big Van Vader for the WCW World Title on August 2nd, 1992. During his time with the company he also won the WCW World Tag Team Title (with Butch Reed) as Doom, and the WCW United States Tag Team Titles with Big Josh.
He joined the WWE in 1996 and was the first leader of the African American Group the Nation of Domination. A botched feud with The Rock over the leadership of the Nation (where Simmons wasn’t made to look particularly strong) led Faarooq to the tag team division where he would remain for the rest of his career. He held the WWE World »

As well as Edge, also announced on last night’s Raw for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2012 was The Four Horseman. From the way it was portrayed last night they will be inducted as a group consisting of J J Dillion, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham and the already inducted Ric Flair. No Ole Anderson.
The decision to induct The Four Horseman as a group was rather interesting because Ric Flair is currently working and signed to a deal with rival company Tna. He was explicitly shown and mentioned in the promo video for the Class and photographed as being inducted so the WWE decided not to shy away from celebrating the Horseman without him.
So it will be interesting to see how they will handle this come the night before WrestleMania’s ceremony but maybe they will skirt around the issue then and just not mention Flair works for another company. »
