Mother of Jennifer Convy, Joshua Convy and Jonah Convy. Joshua is an accountant.
Also helped craft husband Bert Convy's nightclub act and wrote material for his appearances as guest host on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson (1962).
Met future husband Bert Convy in 1958, when a mutual friend brought her to see Convy hoof and croon and joke around in "The Billy Barnes Revue".
Started writing in the 1970s. Has worked on such TV shows as Alice (1976), Love, Sidney (1981), One Day at a Time (1975) and It's Not Easy (1982), the last-mentioned starring her husband at the time, Bert Convy.
