Began singing career with the Royal National Guard during his WWII service with the RCAF.
Graduated from the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music.
Songwriting credits include, "A Quiet Kind Of Love", "Christmas In The Air" and "Patapan".
He was the singing voice for TV's Mister Ed (1958), for which he also wrote and recorded "The Pretty Little Filly with the Ponytail" and "The Empty Feedbag Blues".
