'From Within' Stills, Horrorfest Date Shift

This morning After Dark Films provided Bloody-Disgusting with several exclusive stills from the film FROM WITHIN, which will play in the 2009 AFTER DARK HORRORFEST, which will now run from January 9-15. Set in a small, God-fearing town, story focuses on a young girl caught between her Christian upbringing and a desire to experience the outside world. Her desire to break free is amplified when residents begin to die suspiciously. You'll find the images inside for the film that will be playing alongside THE BROKEN, BUTTERFLY EFFECT: REVELATION, PERKINS' 14 and SLAUGHTER. Directed by Phedon Papamichael, the film stars Thomas Dekker, Elizabeth Rice, Adam Goldberg, Jake Weber, Laura Allen. »

Allen Welcomes Baby Boy

Former Dirt star Laura Allen has given birth to a baby boy.

The actress and her model husband Bruce Weyman welcomed little Harper Edward Weyman into their family on Wednesday night at a Los Angeles hospital.

The newborn weighed in at nine pounds, five ounces (4.22 kilograms), reports

A spokesperson for Allen says, "Mother, father and baby are doing well."

The couple wed in Italy in 2006. »

After Dark set for January

The third edition of After Dark Horrorfest, dubbed "8 Films to Die For," will take place in theaters nationwide on Jan. 2-9, After Dark Films CEO Courtney Solomon announced Wednesday.

After Dark first put together a weeklong package of horror films in 2006, grossing more than $2.5 million.

The latest addition to its 2008 lineup is Phedon Papamichael's "From Within," starring Elizabeth Rice, Thomas Dekker, Kelly Blatz, Laura Allen, Adam Goldberg and Rumer Willis. The film, which premiered at this year's Tribeca Film Festival, is set in a small community hit by a rash of suicides.

After Dark Films has produced three of the films that will be featured in the Horrorfest: Stewart Hopewell's "Slaughter," Craig Singer's "Perkins 14" and Seth Grossman's "The Butterfly Effect: Revelation."

Sean Ellis' psychological thriller "The Broken" has also been selected.

The remaining three films will be announced shortly.

Dirt star Laura Allen is expecting her first child with model husband Bruce Weyman.

Allen, who acted alongside Courteney Cox in the hit show, has confirmed she is delighted with the news.

She tells, "We are overjoyed to bring the first grandchild into both families this summer. We don't know boy or girl, but we are pretty sure our baby already has a palate for Indian food and Pinkberry (frozen yogurt)."

The couple wed in Italy in 2006, just two days before Allen began work on Dirt. »
