(1993) (autobiography) "I'd Love To But I Have A Game - 27 Years Without A Life"

Featured in the Roger Water's CD "Amused to Death" calling the shots for a war as if it were a sporting contest.

TV commercial: A&W Root Beer (Voiceover with Darryl Dawkins; late 80s)

Began his professional career in 1963, assisting Marty Glickman on broadcasts of the NBA's New York Knicks and the NHL's New York Rangers games. He replaced Glickman as the play-by-play for Rangers radio casts since 1965, and took over on Knicks radio coverage in 1967. Beginning in 1986, he did television broadcast of Knicks games on Madison Square Garden Network cablecasts. Additionally, he served as sports director for WHN radio from 1967-73 and handled play-by-play for radio coverage of New York Giants football from 1973-76. From 1975-87, Albert was sports director of WNBC-TV, the NBC Television Station in New York: he relinquished that post in January 1987 to concentrate on his network assignments. Albert rose to prominence in 1969, at the age of 26, when his radio descriptions of the Knicks' charge to the NBA championship captivated New York. In 1977, he officially became part of the NBC Sports announcing team handling such events as college basketball, pro football and boxing. When not behind the microphone, Albert is the most frequent guest on Late Night with David Letterman, having accumulated more than 60 appearances on the NBC-TV program. He also has been recognized as New York State Sportscaster of the Year 20 times during his career. He won the cable-TV's ACE Award as outstanding play-by-play broadcaster for his work on Knicks games over MSG Network in 1989, 1991, and 1992.
