COLOGNE, Germany -- HBO has picked up Bear Cub, the critically acclaimed film by Spanish director Miguel Albaladejo about a freewheeling gay man whose life is changed when he suddenly finds himself the guardian of his 11-year-old nephew. HBO acquired U.S. pay TV rights to the film from Cologne-based sales group Media Luna, who have already sold U.S. theatrical to TLA Releasing. Bear Cub, which debuted at the Berlin International Film Festival last year, has so far sold to 40 territories worldwide. »
