A few months after Suicide Squad started production in Toronto, star Jai Courtney revealed that his co-star Jared Leto had remained in character the entire time as The Joker. The first trailer revealed at Comic Con gave us our first look at Jared Leto's maniacal character, and we'll surely see a lot more of him as we get closer and closer to the August, 5, 2016 release date. While promoting his first new song in 10 years, Will Smith decided to chimed in on Jared Leto's method acting ways, revealing he never actually met the actor out of character during the whole time he was on the set in Toronto.
"[Suicide Squad] is insane. I've never actually met Jared Leto. We worked together for 6 months and we've never exchanged a word outside of 'Action!' and 'Cut!' I literally have not met him yet. So, the first time I see him will be 'Hey, »
Based on a 2009 GQ article, the film tells the story of Dr. Bennet Omalu, a Nigerian-born forensic neuropathologist who found Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy in the brains of NFL players, discovering a link between football injuries and early-onset dementia that could lead to death. He became at odds with the NFL after the diagnosis.
The movie made headlines recently after the New York Times posted a story centered around emails unveiled by hackers suggesting that Sony executives made unspecified edits to avoid angering the NFL. Sony spoke out against the article, claiming it was “written by individuals who have not seen the film” and that the piece “contains many misleading inferences.”

[[tmz:video id="0_sjrsmp2p"]] Got one of those cool Hollywood moments with Wale ... who decided to set a romantic mood for everyone pouring out of a nightclub by dropping an awesome freestyle. Wale was leaving Henry's Monday night when he ripped off a few verses to the melody of Michael Jackson's "P.Y.T." Throw in a sexy sidewalk saxophone, and a bunch of (likely) boozed up couples leaving the club -- and, yeah ... it's just good fun. »

Jared Leto went full-on method in his performance as The Joker for next year's Suicide Squad. And by all accounts, it should be the most deranged depiction of this iconic super villain, trumping everything that has come before it. Jared Leto isn't afraid to taut his work before fans and critics have gotten a proper taste. It's a performance he took quite seriously. Making an appearance at Dubai Music Week, he teased that his Joker will have people worried for his sanity.
All throughout the Suicide Squad production, co-stars said that Jared Leto had gone off the rails. He so completely disappeared into his Joker persona, that everyone claims to have never met the real Jared Leto on set. He stayed in character for the entirety of the shoot. And he notoriously sent his co-stars various disturbing gifts, such as a live rat, which went to Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) and a dead hog, »
Leto said, when asked about the film: “I can’t wait for you to see this – they’re going to lock me away in a box after this movie comes out.”
The star’s words will continue to spark speculation about what role Joker will play in Suicide Squad and how Leto will approach the role made iconic on the big screen by names as big as Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger.

If the Enchantress really is going to be the villain (well, they’re all villains… but you know what I mean) of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad movie as yesterday’s rumor suggests, than the creepy behind-the-scenes snap below definitely proves that Cara Delevingne has the right look for the role.
We’ve seen the character in that initial teaser image, as well as a few glimpses of her in the San Diego Comic Con trailer, but this pic of Delevingne in the process of getting done-up as the “Switcheroo Witcheroo” gives us a much better idea of the intricate details of her body paint.

This new Bts image of Cara Delevingne in the process of getting done-up as the Enchantress for Suicide Squad provides our best look yet at some of the little details of the character's somewhat disturbing visage - the Tau Cross on her neck for example. In witchcraft this cross is said to offer protection for those about to undertake a long journey, and is used in some cultures as a talisman against sickness. It's also clear from the pic that she has writing on her forehead - perhaps the Joker visits the same tattooist? Almost quarter of a century after her first appearance in the Batman: The Animated Series episode ‘Joker’s Favor’, Harley Quinn will make her big screen debut as part of Warner’s big DC supervillain ensemble Suicide Squad, which hits cinemas next year.
Back in May, DC Animated Universe legend Bruce Timm shared his thoughts on Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn [see here], and now fellow co-creator Paul Dini has followed suit, telling the Shanlian On Batman podcast (via Forbes) that:
“[Suicide Squad] very much a real-world look. Jared Leto’s version of [The Joker] is almost like a decadent rockstar and there’s a little bit of Sid and Nancy to the Joker and Harley look, which I always felt would not be a bad look if they were in a live-action movie. I know it’s jarring to a lot of the people who love the classic Bruce Timm suit, I love it myself. »

The cover to Robert Kanigher and Ross Andru's reprint of The Brave and the Bold #25 is given a Task Force X update from artist Ethan Van Sciver. This pays homage to Howard Chaykin’s original cover to 1987’s Suicide Squad #1, but replacing that lineup are the characters that make up the team from the upcoming movie: Enchantress, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, El Diablo, Killer Croc, Rick Flag, Katana, and Harley Quinn. No Joker unfortunately, and poor Slipknot is once again given short shrift.. but hey, he'll probably die after 5 minutes anyway. Early yesterday, one of the formerly unseen awards contenders finally revealed itself with a Trailer. The film in question is Concussion, the Will Smith vehicle that tackles the issue of head trauma within the National Football League. Last year we had a decidedly lighter NFL related movie with Draft Day, but this year it’s Oscar bait and concussions. The flick seems to be hoping to appeal as a drama/dramatic thriller of sorts, but I’ll get into that shortly. Smith will hope to contend for his first Academy Award, but what are the prospects overall for the film? Well, let’s discuss that right now, and of course, you’ll have the Trailer to take a peek at at the end of this piece… The movie is a dramatized look at an issue the NFL is struggling with right now, namely how dangerous concussions are for their players. »

Just when you thought it was safe to venture back out onto the streets of Toronto, members of Task Force X have spilled onto sidewalks of the Canadian city once more – or, rather, their stunt doubles have. In the latest – and surely final – batch of set photos from David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, eTalk has unearthed images of Batman, The Joker and Harley Quinn all partaking in a scene that will be all too familiar for those who have kept up with every shred of information pouring out of Warner’s villainous feature.
In fact, we’ve also posted the original set photos from when the scene was first shot, and you can check them out along with the new snaps in the gallery above.

Principal photography may have wrapped, but cameras were rolling again yesterday on Suicide Squad as the stunt doubles for Batman, The Joker and Harley Quinn filmed an action sequence for the DC supervillain ensemble. Thanks to eTalk, we’ve got a video of the action, as well as a mildly spoilerish description of the scene in question…
In the scenes, Batman breaks through the top of The Joker’s car, as The Joker and Harley Quinn sit inside. As the car goes plunging into the water, Batman repels off just in time.
