London's Lawyers Move To Silence Family

21 June 2010 1:18 AM, PDT | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Lawyers representing actor Jeremy London have served cease and desist letters to his mother and his twin brother Jason to stop them talking about his alleged kidnapping ordeal.

The former Party of Five star, 37, claims he was taken hostage by a group of men in California last week after they offered to help him change a tyre on his car.

He insists he was held at gunpoint and forced to drive the men around Palm Springs. London also alleges he was forced to "purchase alcohol and use illicit drugs".

Brandon Adams, 26, has since been charged with kidnapping, robbery, possession of stolen property, vehicle theft and carjacking.

The actor's attorneys have now filed notices against his mother, Debbie Nielsen, and his brother Jason - as well as his brother's girlfriend - after they talked to the press about the star's alleged drug problems.

According to TMZ.com, London's wife Melissa claims the actor is worried his family will ruin a potential court case by talking to the press.

The website reports that London's brother Jason accepted the cease and desist letters on Saturday on behalf of his mother and girlfriend. »

“Kidnapped” Jeremy London Had A Warrant Out For His Arrest

18 June 2010 11:45 AM, PDT | VH1.com | See recent VH1.com news »

New details in Jeremy London’s alleged kidnapping aren’t making the case any less bizarre. Radar Online reports that the Party Of Five actor had a warrant out for his arrest at the time he claims two men were forcing him by gunpoint to drive around Palm Springs and smoke dope with them. Seems London never showed for an earlier hearing concerning his arrest for driving without a license in January, a situation that stemmed from earlier issues with DUI. Since his alleged captor has an even shadier past (involving drug and violence convictions), it’s possible London really had just offered the guy a ride for fixing his tire, only to wind up his drug-fueled chauffeur. But knowing the actor’s own record, friends of suspect Brandon Adams are more than a little suspicious. “Brandon probably was doing drugs With that actor,” one told Radar. “And the guy »

Jeremy London's kidnapping tale raises suspicions

18 June 2010 7:56 AM, PDT | Pop2it | See recent Pop2it news »

If Jeremy London's wild and scary tale of being kidnapped at gunpoint and forced to smoke meth for twelve hours sounded a little fishy, here's more grist for the mental mill.

Brandon Adams, the man behind bars accused of kidnapping the "Party Of Five" star and forcing him to do drugs has pleaded innocent. And the accused dude's neighbors aren't buying London's story at all.

"I don't believe it," a neighbor told RadarOnline.com. "Brandon probably was doing drugs With that actor, and the guy just said he was forced to smoke because he knew drugs were in his system."

They have a point. For one thing, drugs are expensive. Why would someone force a stranger to consume quantities of drugs when they could sell them and make money or do the drugs themselves and get high? People who do and/or sell drugs are probably not generous with freebies. »

Event Report: Wes Craven Double Feature at The Aero / Talks My Soul to Take and Scream 4

23 February 2010 11:36 AM, PST | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

On a rainy Sunday night in Santa Monica, Wes Craven came to the Aero Theater to present two of his more provocative pieces from the midpoint of his career: The People Under The Stairs and The Serpent and The Rainbow.

The People Under The Stairs, in case you are unfamiliar with Craven’s 1991 deranged horror comedy, is centered around Fool (Brandon Quintin Adams), a youngster who wants better for his family so he goes along with two cons (Ving Rhames and Jeremy Roberts) who plan to break into the house of their deadbeat landlords (the insanely brilliant Everett McGill and Wendy Robie), only to get more than they bargained for. If the deranged sibling duo of McGill and Robie don’t get their hands on them, then the infamous “people under the stairs” will.

The second feature, The Serpent and The Rainbow, is a twisted journey to the deepest parts »
