In 2009, producers David Fincher and Blur Studio hired him to write the script "The Automatic Detective." Adapted from the book of the same name, "The Automatic Detective" tells the story of a futuristic robot that uncovers a vast alien conspiracy to take over Earth. Slated to go into production in 2011, "The Automatic Detective" will be Fincher's first foray into animated feature films.
