Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan is planning to produce a Broadway show based on historical dancer Amrapali, with actress Madhuri Dixit playing the lead.
"Amrapali is very famous abroad. We are planning to start a Broadway show based on her. Our talks are on and if everything goes as per plan then Madhuri Dixit will play the main character," said Saroj.
"Javed Akhtar will write the lyrics and Feroze Khan will direct it," she added.

Rajkumar Santoshi, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan have collaboratively expressed their keen desire to make and act in an Andaz Apna Apna sequel. The film went on in the nineties to become a cult comedy with both Khans along with Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon all winning much accolades for this out-and-out comedy flick. Unknown to many, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor were meant to act together much earlier than 3 Idiots. It began with Mani Ratnam's Lajjo which got shelved, followed by Vishal Bhardwaj's Mr. Singh and Mrs. Mehta, which too got shelved after the film contained a kissing scene that wasn't working out. And of course finally now, 3 Idiots where the Khan and Kapoor will come together and yes, they will kiss. In fact, they will not kiss just once but three whole times.
While the kisses have not been publically announced by the makers, they actors have shot all three scenes. The first one is a flying kiss between the couple; the next a cheek kiss; and the last a full out lip-to-lip smooch which will be a part of the climax.
