Question: Any intel on the Grey’s Anatomy finale? I haven’t heard a peep! —Megan

Ausiello: That’s about to change in 3, 2… “It’s pretty dramatic and pretty intense,” Kevin McKidd teased to TVLine at PaleyFest over the weekend. “It’s pretty dark and very good. Debbie [Allen]’s going to direct it, and it’s going to be amazing.” Owen’s portayer adds that unlike previous closers, Season 13’s climax won’t be centered around a catastrophic event. »

Supergirl Review: Season 2 Episode 16 Star-Crossed

21 March 2017 5:36 AM, PDT | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

Well, just as I predicted, in last night's Supergirl episode we find out that Supergirl is already pregnant thanks to Mon-El, and that Superbabies are indeed on the way! Or at least that would have been a much better story than what we got. Instead, this episode was split between two different stories and one of them was as predictable as rain in April.

The first storyline in Supergirl involves poor Winn and his new alien girlfriend Lyra, as she has been playing him the entire time (shocker) and used him to break into a museum to steal the Van Gogh Starry Night painting. Apparently, she has the same, and only, superpower that Mr. Terrific has in the comics and is invisible to technology. In fact, Batman used him to bring down his own creation; Brother Eye.

Freddie Mercury's Isolated Vocals From "Somebody to Love" Will Move You to Tears

19 March 2017 8:05 PM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

"Bohemian Rhapsody" may be the Queen song everyone sings at the top of their lungs in the car (thanks, Wayne's World), but "Somebody to Love" is objectively one of the greatest songs of all time. But why are we talking about this now, 41 years after its release? Because, thanks to Reddit, an audio recording of Freddie Mercury's isolated vocals from the track has surfaced - and it's unbelievable. If you've ever even attempted to hum along to this tune, you'll be blown away. »

Tragedy Girls Review [SXSW 2017]

16 March 2017 12:42 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Tyler MacIntyre’s Tragedy Girls raucously blends Detention with Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon. Heavy on quick-witted teen jargon (Jennifer’s Body on speed), light on serial killer training. It’s equal parts gruesome and forthcoming, as two pixie dreamgirls promote themselves on social media while classmate corpses pile up. Internet interactions allow psychopaths to hide in plain sight, while a lust for attention makes hobby murders sound like a serviceable road to popularity. “Like, retweet and follow!” our characters beg, because that’s the world we live in now. A millennial apocalypse set in the digital realm.

Brianna Hildebrand and Alexandra Shipp are the “Tragedy Girls,” two high school seniors who run an online account that’s obsessed with true-crime. Specifically, the idea of serial killers. Brand popularity increases when their sleepy town of Rosedale falls victim to a string of deaths, but this isn’t »

‘Baby Driver’ Review: Edgar Wright’s Brilliant Car Chase Musical Casts Ansel Elgort As an Outlaw Fred Astaire — SXSW 2017

12 March 2017 12:35 AM, PST | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

Like every Edgar Wright movie since “Shaun of the Dead,” the director’s fifth feature, “Baby Driver,” takes a ludicrous concept and turns it into a brilliant exercise in high style and a rush of big ideas. The director’s most ambitious work to date is a wildly successful romantic heist comedy, propelled from scene to scene with a lively soundtrack that elevates its slick chase scenes into a realm that develops its own satisfying beat.

If Busby Berkeley made “Grand Theft Auto,” it might look something like this exuberant comic caper, in which young getaway driver Baby (Ansel Elgort) speeds through highways and back alleys seemingly impervious to police advances so long as he has a smooth beat to guide his maneuvers. Operating under the employ of robbery maestro Doc (a stern Kevin Spacey), Baby quietly works off a debt to his boss by hauling two-bit criminals out of harm’s way, »

Nicki Minaj’s Beefs: A History of All of Her Celebrity Feuds

If there’s one vital lesson the music world has taught us over the years, it’s don’t mess with Nicki Minaj.

The 34-year-old rapper has cemented herself as a wig-loving, expletive-laden-lyric-delivering, no-nonsense force to be reckoned with. So, naturally, she’s had her fair share of feuds with other celebs.

The “Anaconda” rapper has sparred with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Mariah Carey and more.

However, last April, Minaj told Ellen DeGeneres that she regrets her past feuds with fellow stars, saying, “I’m a sweet person, and I don’t wanna be mean to people. »

Nashville Finale Recap: Duet Again

Need to catch up? Check out last week’s Nashville recap.

Nashville’s Rayna Jaymes was such a force of nature, it takes not one, not two but a whole recording booth full of people to replace her.

(On her final album, at least.)

This week’s episode of the Cmt drama — its midseason finale — allows for some closure following Rayna’s unexpected death two episodes back; where last week’s hour was all about the surreal numbness that permeates immediately following a huge loss, “Fire and Rain” sets the series back in its groove.

IndieWire Stands With Women: 27 TV Shows Created by Women, Starring Women, That We Absolutely Love

8 March 2017 7:43 AM, PST | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

Today is not only International Women’s Day, but a day when many are choosing to strike for A Day Without Women, an economic protest to remind the nation just how important women’s contributions to society are. And as part of that, IndieWire has assembled a powerful list of shows, all currently streaming online, that would not exist without the brilliant female creators at their center. This is the great TV that happens when women show up. Don’t take it for granted.

“30 Rock” (NBC, Netflix)

Did we fully appreciate the gift we had in Tina Fey’s absurdist take on life behind the scenes of a sketch comedy show, while it was on the air? Maybe not, but here’s what matters: “30 Rock” was one of the most original, bizarre, hilarious and unapologetically female shows of its time, and it holds up damn well.
