Miroslav Ondrícek was born on November 4, 1934 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. He is known for his work on Amadeus (1984), Awakenings (1990) and A League of Their Own (1992). He was married to Eva. He died on March 28, 2015 in Prague, Czech Republic.

Father of David Ondrícek.
Member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) and the Association of Czech Cinematographers (Asociace Ceských Kameramanu - ACK).
In the short story "La pomme d'or de l'éternel désir" (in the book of short stories "Risibles amours") by Milan Kundera, Martin, the hero's womanizing friend introduces himself as Milos Forman to the naive country girl he tries to pick up. As for his narrator friend, Martin claims he is Ondrícek, his cinematographer (Folio edition, 1987, pg. 75).
Studied filmmaking at the Barrandov Studio Training School.
Often worked on the films of director Milos Forman.
