An untested kit saw Sean Roberts (Henry Thomas of E.T. fame) go free. He was charged with the rape of Melanie Harper (Kelli Williams) and served 16 years in prison, but untested DNA cleared him. Melanie and her family wanted to make amends to Sean and they started hanging out…and things quickly soured. Ashley (Alexis Collins) was...

NCIS Adds Kelli Williams To Very Important Episode

  • Boomtron
NCIS has a very important storyline planned for an episode airing after its two-week long planted pilot spin off pilot for NCIS: New Orleans. There are few stories that can be told on a procedural like NCIS that warrant special mention, because they’re all generally the same for the most part. But when you’re looking at a series focusing on the Navy, there are certain topics that stick out and need to be told in all seriousness. In this instance, the topic is sexual assault, which is a big deal when you’re in the Navy. My only question is who is the victim in this story?

“It’s a really important episode for us,” said executive producer Gary Glasberg. “I’m very pleased with how it’s turning out.” Kelli Williams will be guest starring in the episode, reported TVLine, and will be playing an NCIS agent.

'NCIS' boss previews New Orleans spin-off, Ralph Waite tribute
Almost a year ago, NCIS executive producer Gary Glasberg was pitching storylines to star Mark Harmon when he brought up the idea that would spawn much more than the episode he was hoping to flesh out that day.

“I had learned that there was this small office in the city of New Orleans — a real NCIS office — that this sort of fantastic, larger-than-life character/agent ran for 25 years. It was just him and a couple of other people — and that was it,” Glasberg says. “And I wanted to do it as a sweeps episode, and then Mark said to me

Blu-ray Review: Alan Cumming Delivers Oscar-Caliber Work in ‘Any Day Now’

Chicago – Evoking the civil rights melodramas of the ’60s, such as Guy Green’s wrenching “A Patch of Blue,” with a dash of Robert Benton’s 1979 masterpiece, “Kramer vs. Kramer,” Travis Fine’s “Any Day Now” shamelessly aims to tug at the heartstrings. And tug at them he does with considerable success, thanks in large part to the riveting, career-best performance delivered by Alan Cumming. It’s the sort of work that could’ve easily been honored with an Oscar nod, had Fox Searchlight or Harvey Weinstein picked it up.

Set in California circa 1979, the film centers on a gay couple struggling to care for a young boy who is in desperate need of a family. Though the couple desires to be considered as his parents, they find themselves in the same predicament as the distraught father figure in Patrick Wang’s 2011 masterpiece, “In the Family.” Yet whereas Wang’s
