Dead Rising fans can look forward to two stocking stuffers this holiday season. In addition to Capcom unleashing the wisecracking wrath of Frank West in the new video game Dead Rising 4 on December 6th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will also release Dead Rising: Endgame on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital on that same day.
Press Release (via Home Theater Forum): Culver City, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2016) – Prepare for a nonstop assault of zombie-slaying action when Dead Rising: Endgame debuts on Blu-ray™, DVD and Digital December 6 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The action-packed sequel to Dead Rising: Watchtower chronicles the return of Jesse Metcalfe (“Dallas,” “Desperate Housewives”) as Chase Carter, an investigative journalist haunted by his past and now hunted by the military. After narrowly escaping a zombie quarantine, Chase—along with a group of dubious allies—slices, hacks and bludgeons his way through the zombie hordes that plague every corner of the abandoned city. »

I don’t understand Crackle’s Dead Rising franchise. Capcom built this zany, wild video game universe that’d be perfect for a hybrid experience somewhere between The Warriors and 28 Days Later, yet these movies are generically neutered. References to original content are just lazy winks, while the whole “psychopaths” arc is completely abandoned in favor of a boring Zombrex conspiracy. I was hoping that Dead Rising: Endgame would atone for Watchtower‘s forgettable adaptation, but, unfortunately, new director Pat Williams falls victim to the same dull tricks from Zach Lipovsky’s first attempt.
Jesse Metcalfe once again stars as investigative journalist Chase Carter, who must journey into the heart of East Mission to stop General Lyons (Dennis Haysbert) from killing every Zombrex-using survivor. Since the first film, technology has been developed that releases Zombrex doses through an implanted chip, but Lyons wants to overload the system and use the »

Ten days out from its anticipated premiere, we have a host of exclusive – and darn well stylish – character posters to share for Crackle’s flesh-munching sequel, Dead Rising: Endgame.
Due to make its bow via the streaming service on June 20, the horror actioner largely takes place in East Mission City, an area irrefutably crippled by the zombie outbreak. In a bid to quell that devastating pandemic, the government hatches a plan to send the undead packing, but it’s one that will also entail massive collateral damage – the death of millions of innocent people.
Taking a stand against that scorched earth tactic are your new favorite band of zombie hunters, with today’s exclusive batch of posters spotlighting Chase Carter (Jesse Metcalfe), General Lyons (Dennis Haysbert), Jordan (Keegan Connor Tracy) and wacky scientist Rand (Billy Zane). Following up on the largely successful Watchtower, it is Pat Williams »

East Mission City beckons, and there’s a government conspiracy to uncover in the latest trailer for Dead Rising: Endgame, the video game movie sequel that’s due to shuffle onto Crackle later this month.
With the majority of the urban landscape now under quarantine, Endgame picks up at a time when Chase Carter – played once again by Jesse Metcalfe, who reprises his lead role from Watchtower – begins to unearth disconcerting details relating to a massive cover-up that could go a ways to explaining the origins of the zombie virus running rampant in the city.
The truth, however, is far worse, when our chainsaw-wielding hero uncovers the government’s scorched earth approach to dealing with the zombie epidemic – one that will seemingly bring an end to the mutated infection at the cost of millions of innocent lives. On board to postpone the apocalypse are Billy Zane, Dennis Haysbert, Marie Avgeropoulos, »

Crackle has announced that production is underway on Dead Rising Endgame, the follow-up to the streaming service’s 2015 feature Dead Rising: Watchtower, which will reunite stars Jesse Metcalfe and Keegan Connor Tracy. Check out the teaser poster here…
“With last year’s success of Dead Rising: Watchtower, there was no question that Crackle viewers had an insatiable appetite for this popular and entertaining franchise—we can’t wait to deliver another great feature for this ‘rabid’ and loyal audience,” states Eric Berger of Crackle and Sony Pictures Television Digital Networks.

Sony’s Crackle online network is coming back for more undead action.
Crackle and Legendary Digital Media have begun production in Vancouver on “Dead Rising: Endgame,” the sequel to last year’s original feature film on the streaming-video service, “Dead Rising: Watchtower.” The second installment in the film series, announced at Crackle’s upfront last year, is scheduled to debut on this summer.
“Dead Rising: Endgame” is set in the zombie-infested quarantined zone of East Mission City. Investigative reporter Chase Carter (played by Jesse Metcalfe) must stop a secret government conspiracy which, though seemingly aimed at ending the country’s zombie epidemic, will also kill millions of innocent civilians.
The “Dead Rising” films are based on Capcom’s popular video-game franchise, which has sold more than 9 million copies worldwide.
