Reid Scott, Tim Simons and Matt Walsh have joined the cast of HBO's comedy pilot Veep starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus. The Washington, D.C.-set project, from British comedian, writer and director Armando Iannucci, centers on former Senator Selina Meyer (Louis-Dreyfus) who becomes Vice President. Former My Boys co-star Scott will play Dan Egan, a DC legend. Simons will play Jonah who works in the President's office, and Walsh will play Mike, Meyer's spokesman. The trio join previously cast Anna Chlumsky. Reid, repped by Gersh and Impression Entertainment, has recurred heavily on Showtime's The Big C as Laura Linney's hot oncologist. After heavily recurring on CBS' Blue Bloods this season, Amy Carlson, who plays Donnie Wahlberg's wife, is poised to become a regular if the cop family drama is picked up for a second season, something that is widely expected. Carlson, repped by Domain and Principal Entertainment, will next be seen in Green Lantern. »

Donnie Wahlberg will be working overtime in the run-up to his summer tour with reunited boyband New Kids On The Block, because he refuses to take a break from his acting gig on new crime series Blue Bloods.
The singer/actor, 41, stars as Detective Danny Reagan on the U.S. cop show and the programme, which premiered in September, has proved to be a critical success.
Wahlberg admits he's keen to focus more on his screen career as he grows older - so he will be working double duty as he juggles his TV responsibilities with rehearsals for his band's upcoming joint concerts with the Backstreet Boys.
He tells TV Guide magazine, "I made a strategic choice when I decided to do Blue Bloods to shift the balance to acting.
"(So) I'll wrap Blue Bloods at 8pm, then go to a studio to start preparing the (NKotB) show till 3 or 4am. I want to do it all now, while I still can!" »

The New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys - henceforth referred to as Nkotbsb - blew us away with their American Music Awards performance on Sunday (Nov. 21). Who knew those old guys can still dance? A.J. McLean's facial hair is as intricate as ever, Nick Carter and Joey McIntyre are still The Cute Ones, and Donnie Wahlberg is still in Mark's shadow. (His brother was profiled on "60 Minutes" the same night.)
Look, we're not ashamed to admit that we totally had an NKotB lunchbox and somewhere in our closet we may still have a VHS recording of Bsb's "Making the Video" for "I Want it That Way."
But despite our inner teenybopper waking up, we couldn't help but watch the boy-band-o-rama and feel like something was missing... and we're not talking about 98 Degrees.
We miss *Nsync! And we're not the only ones. The morning after the AMAs, NKotB »
The American Music Awards was jam-packed with flashy performances after a daring red carpet for the women and leather loving guys. Rihanna opened the night sporting a bikini-ensemble for her three-song medley. Her good friend Katy Perry had her own moment in the spotlight wearing a skin-tight red bodysuit after ripping off her skirt while pregnant Pink put on a lively show, though the mom-to-be kept the acrobatics to a minimum. Taylor Swift's edgy arrival dress was your favorite, though she changed into an all black skinny pants and blazer ensemble for her dramatic "Back to December/Apologize" mashup. Taylor was one of the evening's big winners, so check out the whole list here. Christina Aguilera's Burlesque was what you were most excited to see, but did "Express" live up to your expectations? Justin Beiber shared his triumphant times with mentor Usher and the two also both took »

As the Blue Bloods cop most likely to shove a perp's head in a toilet, Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) makes it hard to tell which side of the law he's on. "He's a gray guy," says Wahlberg. "Is anyone really good or bad?" Though Danny exercises a little flexibility with constitutional rights, he's always a stand-up older brother to the youngest Reagan, Jamie (Will Estes), who recently joined the force...

Tyrese Gibson said that yesterday would be the last day of filming for "Transformers 3," and it looks like everything went down as planned. In fact, according to his posts he treated Michael Bay to a Lakers game to celebrate.
Former President George W. Bush has also been doing some celebrating, now that his new book "Decision Points" is out. He received praise from both Donnie Wahlberg and Stephen Colbert today on Twitter, though one of those posts might be a little more sincere than the other. Check out what they said after the jump, along with what it might be like to hire Randy Moss for yourself... and which "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" actress now seems to be on Twitter, though has yet to be verified.

This is the sizzle reel for Canada’s answer to Jersey Shore. It’s called Lake Shore. It’s an allusion about as subtle as everything on this show. That is to say, not subtle at all. Terrible, in fact. And, dare I say, more racist than Jersey Shore? Because it encompasses many cultures! Check it ooout! Oh, it’s 8 minutes long. Not my fault, blame Canada! “I’m not racist, because you know what? I hate everyone equally…especially Jewish people.” F*cking A, Lake Shore. Chill! You’re like the over achieving little sibling trying to overtake your older brother/sister by being as stupid shocking as possible. You’re like Mark Wahlberg to Donnie Wahlberg. Or Chad Lowe to Rob Lowe. Or Randy Quaid to Dennis Quaid. I don’t know, those are all flawed examples. Awful examples, in fact. But you’re awful, you don’t deserve a better example! »

Speaking on Ryan Seacrest's Kiis-fm radio show, New Kids band member Donnie Wahlberg said: "I don't think we'll do a new song. I think we'll do a bunch of our hits together. The first teaser trailer for Kevin James' long-delayed family comedy, Zookeeper, recently debuted in front of MegaMind, and it can now be viewed online. The script by Jay Scherick and David Ronn (Norbit, Guess Who) sparked a bidding war when it was first shopped around back in 2008, reportedly selling to MGM for upwards of $3 million. The movie, about a zookeeper (James) who discovers that the animals at his zoo can talk, was directed by Frank Coraci (Click) and wrapped on October 30, 2009. It was originally scheduled to be released on October 8th of this year, but Sony—which took over the distribution rights from MGM—pushed the release date back to July 8, 2011, to take advantage of the more lucrative summer movie season. Rosario Dawson, Leslie Bibb and Donnie Wahlberg also star, with Adam Sandler, Judd Apatow, Sylvester Stallone, Jon Favreau and Cher among those supplying the voices of some of the animals. »

Franci Coraci-directed comedy "The Zookeeper" gets a first trailer. Released on July 8th, 2011, the film is screenwritten by Nick Bakay, Rock Reuben, Kevin James and Jay Scherick from the story by David Ronn and Jay Scherick. The film's cast includes Kevin James, Adam Sandler, Sylvester Stallone, Rosario Dawson, Jon Favreau, Donnie Wahlberg, Leslie Bibb, , Ken Jeong, Judd Apatow, Cher and Faizon Love. The film is rated PG by the MPAA for some rude and suggestive humor and language. In "Zookeeper," the animals at the Franklin Park Zoo love their kindhearted caretaker, Griffin Keyes (Kevin James). Finding himself more comfortable with a lion than a lady, Griffin decides the only way to get a girl in his life is to leave the zoo and find a more glamorous job. The animals, in a panic, decide to break their time-honored code of silence and reveal their biggest secret: they can talk! To keep Griffin from leaving, »
