His father, Preston Robert "Bob" Tisch owned 50% of the NFL's New York Giants upon his November 2005 death. That 50% is to be divided among Steve and his siblings Jonathan and Laurie.

Steve Tisch is a co-owner in the New York Giants. He currently (2012) has two Superbowl rings.
