Playing with toys, in a way, is like making your own movie.
As a child, there's a strong chance you used to create your own universes and narratives with some of your favourite toys. Whether it was with Barbie Dolls, Hot Wheels, Mr. Potato Heads or My Little Ponies, you got to choose the story, giving these inanimate objects their own voices and dialogues.
That's probably why toys are such an easy subject to turn into a movie. These are characters and beings that were literally meant to tell stories, and we've seen this on the big screen time and again.
This fall, My Little Pony: The Movie is coming to theatres, and while some of us are nostalgic for those colourful little horses, there are now new generations »

San Diego Comic-Con is a part of summer that a lot of people look forward to every year and for obvious reasons. But it's not always fun for celebrities who have to move around thousands of fans to get to a panel or signing, so most stars choose some pretty interesting costumes to walk around anonymously without having to worry about getting bombarded by fan requests for pictures, autographs, or in Ben Affleck's case, to ask him what the heck is going on with The Batman movie. So, for this year's Comic-Con, Affleck decided to go with a pretty minimal disguise that may have come off as grouchy to all he encountered.
With the recent 40th anniversary of the death of Elvis, here is a look at those music stars who made a transition to film. Some were more successful than others. Some made a fleeting crossover and some are best forgotten as far as their film careers went…
In terms of the King, Elvis has an undoubtedly huge legacy as far as music goes. His influence as far as attitude, showmanship and indeed the music itself is still being felt. He was in that bracket of the most influential musical acts of his era alongside the Beatles. However his impact on film was also important. He showed that a cultural phenomenon could operate over two platforms.
Beginning in 1956 with Love Me Tender, Elvis would go onto make over 30 films until 1969. A few more iconic than others of course, such as Jailhouse Rock, Viva Las Vegas and some more interesting attempts to »

Grab all the denim and newsboy caps you own, because Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears are reportedly working on a new song together. The late '90s power couple, who dated from 1999 to 2002, didn't part ways on the best of terms due to rumors that the pop princess had cheated on the *Nsync alum with her choreographer, but it appears time heals all wounds (and Ramen-inspired hair). While both of the singers have written songs about each other in the past, they've yet to collaborate on a duet, but music producer Timbaland recently sent the rumor mill into overdrive after dropping some hints about a song they could be working on together while talking to the hosts behind the Pop University podcast. Hosts Maddie Lazer and Hannah Rowston stopped by a taping of ABC's latest singing competition show, Boy Band, on which Timbaland serves as an "architect", and went up »

Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears broke the hearts of people everywhere when they abruptly ended their perfect pop music romance in March 2002. While they both have never officially confirmed the reason behind the split, rumors quickly began to swirl that Justin ended it after Britney cheated on him with choreographer Wade Robson. While Justin allowed their breakup to remain mysterious (he definitely didn't hold back from shading his ex a few times, though), he hinted at what went wrong on his debut solo album, Justified, which was released shortly after they called it quits. One song in particular, "Cry Me a River," hinted at a massive betrayal with lines like "You don't have to say what you did / I already know, I found out from him," but things were pretty much confirmed when the music video came out. When it comes to the Star Wars movies, it's hard to imagine anyone else in the iconic roles of heroes like Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia. Even the Star Wars prequels most aggressive critics will admit that Ewan McGregor shined as Obi-Wan Kenobi, the character fans of the galaxy far, far away first encountered as embodied by the late Sir Alec Guinness. But as with any film, the casting process is, well, a process. And there have been plenty of legendary actors who almost made their way into this galaxy from a long time ago and very far, far away.
Most fans know that Kurt Russell was among the actors considered for the role of everyone's favorite scruffy nerf herder, Han Solo. He even screen tested with aspiring Luke Skywalker William Katt, who would later star as television's Greatest American Hero. Karen Allen auditioned for Princess Leia, a »

Image Source: Getty / Taylor Hill You'd probably be hard-pressed to find someone who isn't either obsessed with watching Game of Thrones or obsessed with trying to figure it out (Ok, I guess there are a few people who don't watch). Among the show's millions of fans are a handful of your favorite celebrities, including Jessica Biel. The Sinner actress recently took part in a Reddit Ama on Wednesday where she revealed her simple (but powerful) thoughts on how she thinks the series will end. When one user asked what her theory was for how things will wrap up in Westeros, Justin Timberlake's other half had one person in mind.
