The post NFL Great Joe Theismann Talks “Love On The Sidelines” appeared first on Channel Guide Magazine.
The precinct is in need of some shaping up, and Terry and Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) are going to make some changes to get things moving more productively.
They're so cute when they're optimistic.
Nothing they do actually creates any positive change. They make Diaz mad, thus blocking people from using the bathroom, give Gina a mirror to keep her busy with her own reflection, and reshuffle the location of the toaster and some of the desks in the department. The entire group confronts Holt and Terry to knock it off. Fairly pointless storyline, but we did get
"We're going to get Prince Fielder from the [Texas Rangers]," he jokes to Zap2it about the big episode. "We're just gonna say 'Prince...' We'll do an ellipsis after Prince and then maybe put Fielder in parentheses."
Samberg had been out until 4 a.m. celebrating his Golden Globe win the night before he spoke to Zap2it -- "It's the only time I've ever showed up to work slightly drunk and got a standing ovation from my co-workers," he jokes -- but even sleep deprivation wouldn't get him to reveal anything too major about the comedy's big episode.
"We have Dean Winters coming back, he played a character called the Vulture. We have Fred Armisen coming back as his
On "New Girl," which will feature previously reported guest star Prince, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Cece (Hannah Simone) are invited to a mansion party thrown by his royal badness. Nick (Jake Johnson), Schmidt (Max Greenfield), Winston (Lamorne Morris) and Coach (Damon Wayans, Jr.) don't want to be left out, so their mission becomes crashing the party. Fox also notes the episode will feature special guest cameos. Chances are it's going to be a star-studded affair at Prince's place.
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" will include a "Saturday Night Live" reunion as Fred Armisen returns to guest star once again, along with Super Bowl-winning quarter back Joe Theismann. Jake (Andy Samberg) and Amy (Melissa Fumero) try to
At almost the exact same time Anderson Silva hit the ground after breaking his leg during his Ufc title fight against Chris Weidman, stars, athletes, and fans took to Twitter to post their reactions. And because Anderson’s leg-bending break was the worst sports injury since Kevin Ware‘s bone-protruding injury in March, there were too many reactions of shock, horror, and sadness to count.
Anderson Silva’s Injury: Stars & Athletes React
Though some celebrities were tweeting about the gruesome injury, most of the notable reactions came from fellow athletes — including Joe Theismann, who suffered a horrific leg break of his own in the ’80s – who wanted to wish Anderson a fast and safe recovery:
Saturday (Dec. 28) the fight ended with a much more gruesome outcome. Silva was defeated by Weidman when, roughly 90 seconds into the second round, Silva kicked against Weidman and Weidman blocked. But the block resulted in a broken leg for Silva. Many on Twitter were calling it the most gruesome Ufc injury of all time.
Weidman said after the match, "The goal is to get your knee up and allow them to make contact with their shin right there. As soon as he hit me with that kick and moved backwards I knew right away. There's no real excitement in a fight finishing like that because you never want to see anyone get hurt like that.
The former Saturday Night Live star is set to return to Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine, marking his first appearance on the show since his buzzy cameo in the pilot. And he’s not just in any Bn-n episode, but landing in the comedy’s huge post-Super Bowl slot.
Re-joining fellow ex-snl castmate Andy Samberg on the series, Armisen plays “Melipnos,” his oddball character from the premiere. Amy (Melissa Fumero) and Jake (Samberg) have another strange encounter with Melipnos while tracking down a suspect.
Also since no post-Bowl show is complete without a sports legend cameo,
