My Father Die Review

13 hours ago | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

My Father Die is an angry little debut for Sean Brosnan, and thankfully for papa Pierce Brosnan, not with biographical intent. It’s true that Brosnan keeps revenge in the family, but only by way of fictional bayou country folks. Pierce is safe from Sean’s bullet-ridden bite of familial revenge, unlike some characters who find themselves caught between not-so-friendly fire and the struggles of living up to (or denouncing) parental pedestals. It’s pulpy, fur-wearing, country fried fury, following a darker path that’s guided by stellar direction from the man with the golden camera. It’s not perfect, but stylish and provocative enough to erase any notion that “first-timer” is synonymous with “amateur.”

Joe Anderson stars as present-day Asher, who we first meet as a young boy (played by Gabe White). Currently, he’s a deaf adult who takes care of his mother, but in the opening flashback, »

Meg Author Promises a Very Scary, Expensive Shark Movie

18 January 2017 3:33 PM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

After being stuck in development for quite some time and going through the hands of several different filmmakers, the giant shark movie Meg is in the can and will be coming out next year. The movie is based on the 1997 novel of the same name, which was written by Steve Alten. The author recently opened up about the movie adaptation. And outside of praising what is on the way, he made it clear that the movie has a budget as big as the shark Jason Statham is going to be doing battle with.

Steve Alten recently spoke with iHorror about Meg and revealed that Warner Bros. apparently has a lot of confidence in what will essentially be a massive, action-packed B-movie. According to the author, Meg has a budget of $150 million and will have a lot of top-notch resources being poured into it, and it will apparently be pretty scary. »

Just before Christmas it was reported that The Expendables 4 had been given the green light, and will bring the curtain down on the action ensemble series when it opens around the globe in 2018.

Well, Sylvester Stallone has now confirmed his return as Barney Ross for the fourth and final instalment, providing a brief update on Facebookand stating that he’s beginning to work out for “the next Expendables, [which is] gonna be great, fingers crossed! We’re gonna do our best and I think we’ve got some really great attitude going, some great ideas. I think everyone’s expecting something different and we’re gonna give it to ’em.”

At the moment, details on The Expendables 4 are scarce, but we can probably assume that Stallone will be involved with the script, and possibly even direct as he did with the first movie. As for casting, we should probably expect most, »

While on a plane flying (aka “slying”) to a Florida event, the actor said that he’s working out for the upcoming sequel, “fingers crossed,” which promises to return to the R-rated roots of the first two films.

We’re going to do our best… I think we got some really great attitude going. We got great ideas. I think everyone is expecting something different, and we’re going to give it to them.

Ultimately, Stallone is providing more reassurance than confidence that »
