As host of the syndicated game show "Treasure Mall" in 1988, Hal became the youngest show host in history.

In May of 2011 Hal became a first-time dad with the arrival of his son, Camden Harrison Sparks.

Can play 6 different musical instruments - guitar, bass, piano, mandolin, banjo, and saxophone.
