Thanks to SuperHeroHype, you can check out three new scans revealing official Iron Man 2 images of, for the first time, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle as James Rhodes, and Sam Rockwell as villainous Justin Hammer. Also appearing in the scans is Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and director Jon Favreau, hiding under the boxing equivalent of a suit of armor. We're now less than a week out from the big Paramount Iron Man 2 panel at Comic-Con and less than two days removed from Jon Favreau calling a wrap on Iron Man 2 principal photography. If you're in San Diego attending the con, mark Saturday, July 25 at 4pm in Hall H.

Iron Man 2 Completes Filming

19 July 2009 9:36 PM, PDT | From /Film | See recent /Film news

Production on Iron Man 2's principal photography wrapped on Saturday, after 72 days of shooting. Marvel Studios producer Kevin Feige issued a statement to Marvel.com: Shooting 'Iron Man 2' was a fantastic experience and we couldn't be happier. Although there were many challenges in making this film, having Jon Favreau, Robert Downey, Gwyneth Paltrow and almost the entire crew from the first film back on board, allowed us to hit the ground running as everyone was instantly familiar with each other from day one. This dynamic allowed us to get done what we needed on a day to day basis and was a big factor in why we finished slightly ahead of schedule. Scarlett Johansson, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell and especially Don Cheadle all stepped right in and meshed well with our returning cast. From our experience on the first film, we learned what works and doesn't

What Do You Mean There's Nothing on?!!!?

19 July 2009 3:27 PM, PDT | From TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news

With the release of MTV’s “The State” finally getting a DVD release last week and Comedy Central’s new show, “Michael and Michael Have Issues”, there seems to be a new resurgence of an

audience for members of “The State”. Fans of both of these shows, however, should check out Comedy Central’s 2005 show “Stella” starring Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter and David Wain.

“Stella”, which only had one, 10 episode season, featured the same wacky, random humor that fans of this group should admire. Michael, Michael and David play three guys living in New York City, always clad in their suits, in an absurdist take on the usual sitcom. For example, in the second episode “Campaign”, Michael Ian Black takes on the resident board president of their apartment in an election to try to let the tenants have more fun. Yet it gets ridiculously bizarre when an assassination attempt

Iron Man 2: That's a Wrap!

19 July 2009 12:20 PM, PDT | From TheHDRoom | See recent TheHDRoom news

After 71 days of shooting, principal photography on Iron Man 2 came to a close on Saturday, July 18. Like any good director proud of his troops, Jon Favreau climbed a ladder on the set after the final take and thanked the crowd for a job well done. "Shooting Iron Man 2 was a fantastic experience and we couldn't be happier," President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige told Marvel.com after the speech. "Although there were many challenges in making this film, having Jon Favreau, Robert Downey, Gwyneth Paltrow and almost the entire crew from the first film back on board, allowed us to hit the ground running as everyone was instantly familiar with each other from day one." When praising the newcomers to the cast, Feige went out of his way to lavish Don Cheadle with an extra pat on the back. What did Cheadle endure that Scarlett Johansson, Mickey Rourke,

New Rhodey 1st look

That "Entertainment Weekly" article that gave us our first look at Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow in the upcoming Iron Man 2 apparently also had our very first look at Don Cheadle as reincarnated Tony Stark Bfff Jim Rhodes aka War Machine. What's even more interesting is that Sam Rockwell can be seen in the background as the villainous Justin Hammer. They seem to be at a hearing but what for, exactly? Who knows but it probably has to do with Stark getting himself into...

Moon (2009) Movie Review #2

18 July 2009 6:04 PM, PDT | From SciFiCool.com | See recent SciFiCool.com news

I just had the considerable pleasure of watching “Moon” starring the ridiculously good Sam Rockwell and the amazing up and coming director Duncan Jones. I notice that “Moon” was produced in part by Trudie Styler who also produced Guy Ritchie’s first film. She has an eye for talent does this girl. Trudie is also the wife of Sting for those not in the know. “Moon” is a glorious return to old school, model based science fiction. I say model based because instead of C.G.I. that you know is fake, “Moon” uses models and sets that you know are fake but in a different and more interesting version of fake. It’s fake but has that old world craftsmen feel to it. When rovers go bouncing across the lunar surface like they do frequently in “Moon”, you’re thinking, man that’s some good carpentry or excellent plastic whittling.

New Iron Man 2 Photos

18 July 2009 11:00 AM, PDT | From WorstPreviews.com | See recent Worst Previews news

We now have two new shots from the upcoming "Iron Man" sequel, featuring Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle as James Rhodes and Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer in a courtroom. Plus, there is an on-set photo of Downey with director Jon Favreau. Check out all three below. Plot: On one side is Justin Hammer (Rockwell), a fast-talking weapons manufacturer who fancies himself the next Tony Stark; on the other, Vanko (Mickey Rourke), who, while incarcerated in a Russian prison, creates his own battle-suit, which shoots devastating, whip-like beams. Hammer and Whiplash join forces to take Downey's character Tony Stark down. Adding more flesh and blood to the new movie is Stark's mysterious new assistant, Natasha, who has an alter ego of her own, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson). That introduction inevitably sparks romantic tension between Stark and former assistant Pepper Potts, who's been

First Images of Rhodey & Justin Hammer in Iron Man 2

17 July 2009 10:26 PM, PDT | From ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news

Yesterday, Screen Rant reported on the very first images of Scarlett Johansson in costume as the Black Widow for the upcoming Marvel Studios production of the sequel to Iron Man.

This was our first look at one of the new characters and faces added to the Iron Man franchise and Marvel Movie Universe.  Today, we can add two more with our first looks at the new James ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes played by Don Cheadle as well as Sam Rockwell’s Justin Hammer.

The images come from /Film and I edited the actual stills for you. They don’t show too much but both seem to take place in a courtroom scene, likely over the issue of the government’s ownership of the Iron Man technology. Take a look and see what you think:

'Iron Man 2' Pics: Rhodey Rhodes, Pepper Potts and Others

17 July 2009 7:48 PM, PDT | From Aceshowbiz | See recent Aceshowbiz news

Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con preview issue apparently did not only tease on how Scarlett Johansson portrays femme fatale Black Widow in "Iron Man 2", but also the look of several other main characters. Slash Film has got its hands on the mag's scanned photos that expose Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Don Cheadle as Rhodey Rhodes and Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer.

One of the images captures Paltrow's Potts talking to Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark in what appears to be a court room. Another one sees Cheadle, who replaced Terrence Howard as Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes, at some kind of court hearing with Rockwell's fast-talking weapons manufacturer character in the background. The last one exhibits director Jon Favreau and Downey Jr. watching playback from a boxing ring.

A sequel to 2008 blockbuster "Iron Man", "Iron Man 2" will have its script written by "Tropic Thunder" scribe Justin Theroux. It has

Entertainment Weekly definitely got the big scoop on Iron Man 2 this week! Not only did they debut that badass cover shot and our first look at Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, but hidden deep inside the mag are a few more shots from the movie, including our first official look at Don Cheadle as the new Rhodey, Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer (at least in the background), and Gwyneth Paltrow back again as the lovely Miss Pepper Potts. Unfortunately the photos weren't released online, so we have to turn to our friends over at SlashFilm for the scans. They're not the best photos (they're a bit small and cramped), but they are new! Before you ask any questions, that photo to the right shows Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. watching playback from a boxing ring. Apparently Happy Hogan spars with Tony Stark? Iron Man 2 Will Feature a Cockatoo and Other Spoilers

17 July 2009 6:16 AM, PDT | From Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news

Entertainment Weekly's coverage of Iron Man 2 did more than just show Scarlett Johansson in her Black Widow costume. It also revealed a few spoilers about the upcoming sequel. Warning: If you'd like your Iron Man 2 viewing to remain unspoiled, time to stop reading.

Most superhero movie sequels are given the "double villain" treatment and Iron Man 2 is no different. However, this time villains Mickey Rourke as Whiplash and Sam Rockwell as weapons-manufacturing rival Justin Hammer won't be working alone. They'll be joined in their fight against Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) by ... a cockatoo? Rourke explains the need for his new right-hand, er, shoulder, man.

I told [director Jon] Favreau, "I don't want to just play him as a one-dimensional p----." He let me have a cockatoo, who I talk to and get drunk with while I'm making my suit. Johansson's Black Widow will be complicating matters, specifically for Stark's former assistant,

Clean Pics of Scarlett Johansson in Iron Man 2

17 July 2009 12:27 AM, PDT | From TheHDRoom | See recent TheHDRoom news

Following up on yesterday's rather blurry first look images of Scarlett Johansson as The Black Widow from Iron Man 2, Entertainment Weekly has published nice clean images for us to gawk at. Oh yeah, there's a shot of Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and Mickey Rourke as Whiplash, too. Back to Scarlett. The article describes her role as, "Stark's mysterious new assistant, Natasha, who has an alter ego of her own, Black Widow. That introduction inevitably sparks romantic tension between Stark and former assistant Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), who's been promoted to CEO of Stark Industries." Clearly there is no attempt to hide her identity in the Black Widow costume so it will be interesting to see how that dynamic plays out. Scarlett with the red hair draws immediate comparisons to another Scarlett starring in GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Take a close look at Black Widow below

Mickey Rourke Wants a Cockatoo in Iron Man 2

Entertainment Weekly recently revealed shots of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow from the upcoming "Iron Man" sequel. But if anyone was able to take their eyes off Johansson, they would have seen some bizarre quotes from Mickey Rourke and Robert Downey Jr. "I told [director Jon] Favreau, 'I don't want to just play [Whiplash] as a one-dimensional p----,'" Rourke said. "He let me have a cockatoo, who I talk to and get drunk with while I'm making my suit." Then Downey spoke about Tony Stark dealing with both Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) and Black Widow (Johansson). "Our signature as a superhero franchise is that we're horny," he explained. "Not, like, can't-bring-your-kids horny, but just... horny."
