Few horror movie killers can rank among the top tier slaughter stars we've all come to love, but damn it, they try. Well, guess what, kids? Another is on his way, and one thing is certain: He has the girth to muscle in!
From the Charlie's Farm Facebook page:
Since the 1970's the world has been seen the rise of some of the most iconic killers, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Thomas Hewitt (Leatherface). Australia has had its fair share of Amazing horror films from Patrick, Lake Mungo, Snow Town, Razorback, The Loved Ones, and of course the legend himself "Greg McLean" with Wolf Creek and now Wolf Creek 2 to name only a few.
The problem is Australia has never had a killer with the status of the American killers; Voorhees has had over 160 kills in his career and is hands down one of the most feared killers on the planet. »

A jury has determined that this woman didn't go all Sharknado on Tara Reid. Maryam Hassan was found not guilty today of assaulting the actress in a rage at a London nightclub in November 2012. "Thank you," a tearful Hassan reportedly told the jury after the verdict was read. She then hugged a friend who had been sitting in the courtroom. The 27-year-old did not talk to reporters outside. In addition to being acquitted of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, she was also found not guilty of racially aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress, having been accused of verbally going off on a bouncer outside the club as well. Per the Daily Mail, which says Hassan »
Shark mechs, sharks flying through the effing sky with planes, sharks and Debbie Gibson: welcome to the Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark trailer from mockbuster studio the Asylum. The company is continuing to bank on its recent Sharknado craze with a tale about dueling sharks — because Asylum’s sharks have already battled a Crocosaurus and a giant octopus, so why the hell not. We’re still not sure why it took so long for the masses to discover the ridiculousness of movies like Sharknado, but the film became a social media sensation when it debuted on Syfy in July. The combination of Beverly Hills 90210 star Ian Ziering and party-girl disaster Tara Reid will be hard to beat, but we’re counting on former teen idol Gibson and Stargate...

On Saturday, July 11, a perfect storm hit Twitter in the form of Syfy’s original movie Sharknado, an L.A.-set “unnatural disaster” creature feature starring Beverly Hills 90210′s Ian Ziering and American Pie’s Tara Reid. With 387,000 total tweets, the film came within 2,500 tweets of tying Game of Thrones’ “Red Wedding” episode. Here, Syfy’s Evp of Programming and Original Movies, Thomas Vitale — who’s in the midst of developing a New York-set sequel to air in summer 2014 — explains how the phenomenon happened. And people still want to know: Vitale apologized for phoning EW late because, “I had a movie producer in here saying, »

Our voyage through history's underappreciated films arrives at the year 2001, and a vintage year for lesser-seen gems...
Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C Clarke may have seen 2001 as the year we'd head off to meet alien intelligences in the depths of space, but in reality, its cinematic landscape was dominated by fantasy rather than extra-terrestrials. Rowling and Tolkien dominated the box office, with Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone and The Fellowship Of The Ring earning almost $1bn each, while Monsters, Inc and Shrek thrilled old and young audiences alike.
At the other end of the spectrum of success, 2001 was such a vintage year for movies that we had to whittle our usual selection of 25 films down from an initial selection of more than 40. This is why the decision was made - with heavy heart - to exclude some of our favourite films, »
Prepping production currently is writer and director Chris Sun's new Australian slasher feature 'Charlie's Farm'. The horror outback offering from Slaughter FX see's former Aussie WWE Wrestler Nathan Jones ('Mad Max: Fury Road') star as the psychotic killer Charlie Wilson who fends off a group of friends from his remote home. The project stars Tara Reid (below) hot off her SyFy 'Sharknado' role as well as iconic genre performers Kane Hodder ('Hatchet III') and Bill Moseley ('The Devil's Rejects'). 'Charlie's Farm' has already gained a 1 June 2015 Australian release and will hopefully, along with the upcoming 'Wolf Creek 2' sequel, revitalise the Aussie slasher genre. »

The new-fangled Optimus Prime plays cover model on the latest edition of Empire Magazine alongside Transformers: Age of Extinction co-stars Mark Wahlberg, generic white tough guy #37 and some sort of Alyssa Milano/Tara Reid hybrid. The image had a strange effect that crept up on me, and it wasn’t until staring down the replacement cast for a few moments that I realized what it was: this could be the announcement of a brand new franchise. As in, a first-look at the never-before-attempted adaptation of the 1980s toys into live-action Bayhem. Like Shia Labeouf and the worst last name possible never happened. Like Megan Fox was just a dream. A reboot in the truest sense. And isn’t that what all reboots futilely attempt to do? They often crop up just minutes after we saw the last of them (hence the futility), but Transformers might be uniquely situated to effectively use the little red blinky light thingy »

"Live with Kelly and Michael" definitely did Halloween right. With the help of a few celebrity guest stars, Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan costumed the world of pop culture. Miley Cyrus (VMAs version and "Wrecking Ball"), "Breaking Bad," "Duck Dynasty," "Honey Boo Boo," "Sharknado" and more all made appearances.
Check out the costume photos and this full list of everything Kelly and Michael brought on stage.
The hosts did separate, music video-themed costumes after that. Kelly was still Miley, but this time she was on a "Wrecking Ball." Michael, meanwhile, portrayed Kanye West in his "Blood on the Leaves" video. Did you know there was a chicken dance in an early take of that one?
Not that we got to see much, »

There's a war brewing between "American Pie" costars Jason Biggs and Tara Reid!Biggs recently stopped by Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live," where host Andy Cohen asked the actor to come up with "Orange is the New Black" prison-style nicknames for some of his former costars. When Andy asked Jason to pick one for Tara, the the actor responded with "Hot Mess." The "Sharknado" star, who touched down on Sunday in Los Angeles after a weekend in Israel with her boyfriend, was not amused when she found out what Biggs called her. Reid has been re-tweeting all of her followers who have put Biggs on blast. Clearly, there won't be a second "American Pie" reunion flick anytime soon. What do you think of Biggs' comment? Tara Reid doesn't like to be called a "hot mess." She especially doesn't like it when her former "American Pie" co-star Jason Biggs calls her a "hot mess" on "Watch What Happens Live." The "Sharknado" actress has expressed this on Twitter.
Although Biggs originally made the joke back on his Oct. 8 appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" -- the actor was told to come up with prison nicknames, a la "Orange Is the New Black" -- Reid didn't hear about the joke made at her expense until she returned from a trip to Israel on Sunday (Oct. 20). The actress didn't waste any time in calling out Biggs on the insult.
Reid posted the following on Twitter:
"@JasonBiggs it's really sad I just landed in La and the first thing I read about you that you are calling me a hot mess.i I've supported u !"
Biggs, who apparently didn't mean his comments as an insult, »
Tara Reid has a bone to pick up with Jason Biggs. The 37-year-old actress took to her Twitter page to lash out at her American Pie pal after he not so kindly referred to her as a "hot mess" during an appearance two weeks ago on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live. "@JasonBiggs it's really sad I just landed in La and the first thing I read about you that you are calling me a hot mess.i I've supported you!" Reid tweeted after returning from a quick trip to Israel. The Sharknado star's disappointment stemmed from a quip the 35-year-old funnyman said to host Andy Cohen when the latter asked the Orange is the New Black actor what prison nickname Biggs would give Reid—to which »
Jason Biggs couldn't resist poking fun at his former American Pie pal Tara Reid. Swinging by Bravo's Watch What Happens Live Tuesday night, the 35-year-old comic actor participated in a funny game in which Andy Cohen—perhaps a little inspired by Biggs' hit Netflix series, Orange is the New Black—asked him to come up with prison nicknames for some of his former costars. When Reid's face popped up, the Pie guy replied, "Hot Mess." No word what the Sharknado star had to say about that! Biggs also offered up monikers for other Hollywood stars, among them Alec Baldwin whom he nicknamed "Pap Smear;" Jimmy Fallon was "Jimmy Shanks;" Woody Allen was »

I'm about to say something that's bound to ruffle a few feathers. I'm going to be dismissive of sharks. And I'm going to do it on the internet. Telling the internet that you're bored with sharks is madness. It's like telling the internet that you're bored with cat gifs, or ironic moustaches, or pretending that everything is either much more or much less sexist than it actually is. It's asking for trouble.
And yet, now that the Syfy channel is making a TV movie about an avalanche full of sharks, this must be said. To use the parlance of this publication, I'm worried we may be reaching "peak shark".
The film is called Avalanche Sharks. It doesn't have a broadcast date yet, »
