Hosted Late Night with Conan O'Brien (1993) until 2009 when he replaced Jay Leno as host of NBC's Tonight Show. He was fired from The Tonight Show after less than a year because he refused to start the show later. He felt like that wouldn't really be The Tonight Show in a different time slot.
