Krysten Ritter and David Tennant featured in first images from Marvel’s Jessica Jones season 2

Entertainment Weekly has revealed a first look image from the second season of Netflix’s Marvel series Jessica Jones featuring Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Kilgrave (David Tennant); take a look below…

Update: And here’s another…

Marvel’s Jessica Jones

“Having David back on set was amazing,” said Ritter with regards to Tennant’s return as Kilgrave. “We had such a great run the first season, and it felt like a celebration, having him back. The content is maybe not much of a celebration [laughs], but having him be present and spending time with him on a personal level kind of felt like one. And I saw the photo that you’re running. It just took my breath away, because playing Jessica is the most creatively fulfilling series of my life, and also the most difficult. [Laughs] Seeing that photo, I was like, “Oh my God!” My heart was broken for her all over again.

Interview: Christopher Landon Reflects on Disturbia & Discusses Why We Need PG-13 Horror

  • DailyDead
Earlier this year, D.J. Caruso’s Disturbia turned 10 years old, and since I was already chatting with him for Happy Death Day, I could not resist chatting with Christopher Landon about the project, which became a turning point in his career as a then up-and-coming screenwriter with huge aspirations.

He discussed how Martha Stewart was the inspiration behind Disturbia, as well as how he channeled his own personal grief into the script. Landon also gave his thoughts on why we always need good PG-13 horror films (and that’s a sentiment this writer is very much in agreement with).

One movie that I feel deserves a little more love is Disturbia, and it turned ten years old earlier this year. I really enjoyed it, and I know it's cool to hate on Shia Labeouf now and everything, but I loved him in it. And he has this great relationship with Carrie-Anne Moss,

Keanu Reeves Doesn’t Know Anything About The Matrix Reboot

Every once in a while, a movie comes along that makes a mark on the world so indelible that it can never be touched again. In 1999, The Matrix was that movie. Written and directed by Lana and Lilly Wachowski, the action sci-fi blockbuster took giant, complex themes about the nature of reality, and poured them into story of heroism and self-discovery – led by Keanu Reeves as Neo, or The One.

In recent months, there’s been a notable glitch in the fandom of The Matrix, since Warner Bros. began to indicate its intention to revisit the franchise in some way, which would involve screenwriter Zak Penn – and we now have a response from Keanu Reeves on the issue.

Attending the New York Comic Con to discuss his upcoming film Replicas, Reeves spent some time taking questions from the audience – and one of those questions asked for his thoughts on the

The Best Performances in Bad Movies — IndieWire Critics Survey
Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of film critics two questions and publishes the results on Monday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best film in theaters right now?”, can be found at the end of this post.)

This week’s question: What is the best performance in an otherwise bad movie?

Joshua Rothkopf (@joshrothkopf), Time Out New York

There’s a Cult of Val (Kilmer, obviously) that I proudly belong to. Mainly it revolves around movies like “Real Genius,” “Top Secret!” and “Heat,” all excellent movies that don’t fit the parameters of this question. But you really don’t know Val until you’ve made your peace with Oliver Stone’s beyond-awful “The Doors.” The apocryphal anecdotes around Kilmer’s deep dive into Jim Morrison are insane: insisting that no one look him in the eye on set, wearing the same leather pants for months,
