S.W.A.T. Gets Full-Season Order at CBS
CBS’ S.W.A.T. reboot is getting some reinforcements.

The freshman police drama has scored a full-season order from CBS, TVLine has learned. That will take S.W.A.T.‘s first season to a total of 20 episodes, according to a source. Also, CBS has ordered three additional episodes of the freshman sitcom 9Jkl, which stars Mark Feuerstein as an out-of-work actor stuck living in an apartment between his parents and his brother.

‘Swat’ Lands Full-Season Order, ‘9JKL’ Gets More Episodes at CBS
Fans of “S.W.A.T.” and “9JKL” are getting varying degrees of good news.

CBS has handed out a full-season order to Shemar Moore cop series “S.W.A.T.,” while Mark Feuerstein-starring family comedy “9JKL” has picked up three additional episodes. “S.W.A.T.” is averaging 10.36 million viewers on Thursdays, while “9JKL” averages 7.4 million viewers on Mondays.

Based on the 2003 film of the same name, “S.W.A.T.” is a co-production between Sony Pictures Television and CBS Television Studios. It stars Moore, Stephanie Sigman, Alex Russell, Jay Harrington, Lina Esco, Kenny Johnson, Peter Onorati and David Lim.

You know, when I get home from work, wear that little something-something'... you know, all that little pillow talk," Moore explained to host Harry Connick Jr. "I did one of those and I was like, ‘Girl, when I see you later, oh, yeah, it’s on like Donkey Kong,’ and I pushed send and I sent it to my mother."

The S.W.A.T. star tried to stop the message from sending, but it was too late.

Ratings: Shemar Moore’s ‘Swat’ Premiere on CBS Tops at 10pm
CBS just dropped “T.G.I.T.” and “Will & Grace” (and everything else) with its new-look Thursday lineup. The Les Moonves-led network also debuted Shemar Moore’s “S.W.A.T.” reboot in primetime, and brought back “Mom” and “Life in Pieces.” All those premieres and time-period premieres tried to fill in the gaping hole left behind by “Thursday Night Football,” which CBS passed off to the NFL Network last night. NBC’s Thursday pigskin package starts next week. It’s worth pointing out here that in New York City — the No. 1 media market in the country — CBS’ lineup was preempted for Thursday’s Buffalo Bills-New York.
