Zap2it: You were social-media ambassador this year for the Emmy Awards, which aired on your home network, CBS. What appeals to you about being out there on Twitter, Facebook, etc.?
Shemar Moore: Now that I'm more and more into it, it is nice, because with everything I've done in almost 20 years of my career, I get to introduce myself to fans on my terms. So, it's not me on "Ellen" or this movie or TV show or whatever. That's a part of me, but it's the character I'm playing.
Zap2it: Don't you risk getting overexposed?
Shemar Moore: Of course, I'm not going to give them everything, because it's my life, but they get a better sense of me, and I get to promote positive things. So I can get on there and flirt and be silly. I can put up halfway, wannabe sexy pictures of myself or play with my dogs. »
Don't want you to count 'em, but just note: some artists think their own jam is the jam of 2013. And why shouldn't they? HitFix caught up with a number of stars on the red carpet at the American Music Awards, including Akon, Fifth Harmony, Nelly, Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, R. Kelly and Shemar Moore (?!) and asked, "What's your No. 1 song this year?" Kells said "Do What You Want With My Body," his jam with Lady Gaga, Lamar went with his "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe." And Shemar Moore? He's a Drake man. Watch our quick-hitting video from the AMAs above »

Reports of such a death are greatly exaggerated — or at least “not exactly on target,” sources tell me. That said, Peter Pan’s shadow is going to do something pretty horrific, quite soon, and »

Criminal Minds is showing us a new side of Derek Morgan in this exclusive clip from tonight’s new episode — and no, we’re not talking about his shirtless torso. We’re referencing the first peek at Derek Morgan: Attentive boyfriend.
“It’s about time!” jokes Shemar Moore of the introduction of Morgan’s previously mentioned — but never seen — new girlfriend Savannah, played by Rochelle Aytes of Mistresses. “I joke all the time that Derek’s the most sexually repressed character on TV.”
Not anymore, though. And Moore says he’s more than happy to explore that side of the often intense character. »

As excited as Shemar Moore is for CBS’ Criminal Minds (Wednesdays, 9/8c) to embark on its “quickest, deepest dive” ever into Derek Morgan’s love life, he is well aware that one group of ‘shippers may be watching it unfold through their fingers.
“I’m kind of wary of how the Morgan/Garcia fans are going to take it,” the actor says of tonight’s episode introducing Rochelle Aytes (Mistresses) as Derek’s girlfriend Savannah. “Hopefully they don’t see her a threat, but see this new lady as adding another dimension to Morgan.”
Besides, Moore must note with a laugh, »

Garcia better watch out — Morgan's got a new baby girl in his life.
On Wednesday's Criminal Minds (9/8c, CBS), viewers will meet Morgan's (Shemar Moore) secret girlfriend Savannah (Rochelle Aytes). Her arrival shouldn't be too much of a shock to keen fans: Morgan casually mentioned that he had to cancel a date with his neighbor after a case came up in the season premiere.
25 unnecessary spin-offs
"I love that they put that line in the premiere," Moore tells TVGuide.com. "It sounds like a throwaway line and you might forget about it, but now, weeks later, it has significance."
Though Morgan briefly ...

Over the past few weeks we've been inundated with news from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but 20th Century Fox stole a few headlines from Marvel Studios this week by releasing the first trailer for Bryan Singer's hotly-anticipated mutant epic X-Men: Days of Future Past, next year's time-travelling X-sequel sequel which brings together Fox's original X-Men and X-Men: First Class timelines. Warner Bros. is set to kick off its 2014 line-up of DC Universe Animation Original Movies in the Spring with Justice League: War, an adaptation of Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's Justice League Origin story arc, and the first animated feature set in DC's New 52 Universe. IGN has just debuted the first trailer for the feature, and you can check it out right here after the official synopsis...
When the powerful Darkseid and his massive, relentless forces invade Earth, a group of previously unaligned super heroes – misunderstood and, in some cases, hunted by the authorities – discover the only way to fend off the attack will be to work together as a cohesive unit. Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Shazam and, in his origin story, Cyborg combine their respective talents in an all-out battle to save the planet.

DC Entertainment has released the first trailer for their animated feature film Justice League: War, which is based on Geoff Johns' and Jim Lee's ongoing origin story arc in the New 52 Jl series. The story centers on the Justice League coming together in order to stop an alien invasion of Earth, and I think that it could be a decently fun movie. It definitely looks action-packed!
The animated feature stars Jason O'Mara as Batman, Alan Tudyk as Superman, Michelle Monaghan as Wonder Woman, Justin Kirk as Green Lantern, Christopher Gorham as The Flash, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, and Sean Astin as Shazam. The movie is set to be released in 2014. Does this looks like it will be a good DC animated film?

Back for its ninth season on CBS, Criminal Minds is often overlooked but has long been a solid performer for the network. Still, the show's ratings did see a good-sized drop last season. Will the numbers continue to fall or will they rise again? Will it ever be cancelled? We shall see.
Criminal Minds continues to follow the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (Bau) out of Quantico. This season's cast is Thomas Gibson, Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Shemar Moore, Matthew Gray Gubler, Kirsten Vangsness, and Jeanne Tripplehorn.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show's likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available -- usually the next day, around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest.
Warner Bros. may have opted against pulling the trigger on a live-action Justice League movie, preferring instead to focus on the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight in 2015's Batman vs. Superman, but that hasn't stopped DC's iconic team of superheroes from taking centre stage in the studio's first animated DC feature of 2014 Justice League: War. Here's a brand new image from the latest instalment in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies line, which gives us our first look at Superman alongside his Justice League buddies Batman and Green Lantern....
Justice League: War is an adaptation of Geoff Johns and Jim Lee's 'Origin' storyline which launched The New 52 back in 2011, and sees Jay Oliva (Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox) directing a voice cast that includes »

What a weird Emmys that was, right?
Although we saw some tremendous highs, like AMC’s Breaking Bad finally winning Outstanding Drama Series, there were also some major confusing upsets.
As much as I like Jeff Daniels, I don’t understand how he won Lead Actor in a Drama Series, and I hate that Elisabeth Moss lost in two categories — both of which she deserved to win. It also would’ve been nice to have seen ABC’s Modern Family finally lose its hold on the Outstanding Comedy Emmy, but there’s always next year.
However, I’m really happy for the fantastic Merritt Wever and Tony Hale, who won Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series and Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, respectively. Those were pleasant surprises, to say the least.
The Colbert Report winning Outstanding Variety Program was also a huge highlight of the night. »
