‘Hanukkah Miracle!’ Hollywood and Political Stars Rejoice Over Doug Jones’ Win In Alabama
Doug Jones’ victory during the Alabama Senate elections on Tuesday night caused many of his supporters to immediately celebrate the win on Twitter — including many of those who are Hollywood A-listers.

Jones became the first Democratic senator to represent Alabama in 20 years and also became the first Democrat to succeed in 2017’s Congressional special elections.

His opponent, Republican Roy Moore was embroiled in controversy after multiple women alleged he had pursued them for romantic and sexual relationships when they were only teenagers and he was in his thirties. Moore denied the allegations but lost the support of Senators who endorsed him.

Golden Globes Nominations: 21 Biggest Snubs and Surprises

Golden Globes Nominations: 21 Biggest Snubs and Surprises
On Monday morning, the Golden Globes reinforced the notion that Hollywood is still a boy’s club. The organization, made up of about 90 foreign journalists, seemed to go out on a limb not to nominate a single woman for best director. Not Greta Gerwig (“Lady Bird”). Not Patty Jenkins (“Wonder Woman”). Not Dee Rees (“Mudbound”).

Although 2017 has been called the year of the woman, the Globes managed to overlook two of the biggest female-led hits of the year: “Beauty and the Beast,” the most successful movie of 2017 so far, was snubbed in the musical/comedy category, and “Wonder Woman” was shut out for any awards. Other surprises: Jordan Peele didn’t get a nomination for writing or directing “Get Out,” although his movie did receive two nominations (for best picture and actor).

Guillermo del Toro’s “The Shape of Water,” a love story between a lonely woman and a monster, led all movies with seven nominations.

Golden Globes 2018: 26 Biggest Snubs
Nominations for the 75th Golden Globe Awards were announced Monday, and while many TVLine staples scored well-deserved nods, not everyone came out a (potential) winner.

In this age of #PeakTV, there simply aren’t enough slots for all the talent on the small screen. So while we applaud those who did receive nominations this year, we’d also like to tip our collective hat to the shows and stars that didn’t make the cut… but still deserve critical recognition.

Among the most egregious snubs this year were Will & Grace‘s Debra Messing (both the show and Messing’s co-star

Debra Messing and Will & Grace Cast Honor Debbie Reynolds During Holiday Special

Debra Messing and Will & Grace Cast Honor Debbie Reynolds During Holiday Special
It was a touching tribute to the late Debbie Reynolds on Will & Grace‘s holiday episode Tuesday night.

Debra Messing, 49, shared a sweet selfie on Instagram hours before the show aired wearing the same costume that Reynolds was wearing in a portrait in the episode.

The “A Gay Olde Christmas” holiday special saw the cast transported back in time — and throughout the episode, the late actress’ visage, as depicted in a painting mounted on the wall, watched over them.

The actresses played mother and daughter duo, Grace and Bobbi Adler on the show. Messing grinned while pointing at Reynolds’ portrait in the photo,

Debra Messing Trashes ‘Despicable’ NY Times Over ‘Nazi’ Profile
Uh-oh, New York Times. It looks like you’ve lost a subscriber… and at a time when newspapers really can’t afford to be losing them. “Will & Grace” star Debra Messing eviscerated the Times on Monday over a profile that the newspaper ran on Ohio resident Tony Hovater who helped start the Traditionalist Workers Party, one of the extreme-right groups that marched in Charlottesville earlier this year. Messing’s blistering tweet noted that she had canceled her subscription to the newspaper, whose coverage she called “despicable.” Also Read: NY Times Expresses 'Regret' for Profile of Neo-Nazi: 'The Point Was Not

'Vanderpump Rules' Star Stassi Schroeder Apologizes for Controversial '#MeToo' Remarks: 'It Was Irresponsible'

'Vanderpump Rules' Star Stassi Schroeder Apologizes for Controversial '#MeToo' Remarks: 'It Was Irresponsible'
Stassi Schroeder has had a "sobering" few days after facing backlash following a recent episode of her Straight Up with Stassi podcast.

An episode titled "Are We on a Male Witch Hunt?" aired on Friday, in which the 29-year-old Vanderpump Rules star reportedly made several controversial comments about sexual abuse victims who have come forward as a result of the empowering #MeToo campaign.

The episode, which included Schroeder's friend and Pucker & Pout co-founder Jennifer Hoffner, was quickly deleted, though the outspoken star did defend her comments by tweeting a Vanderpump Rules Gif and stated she would be "recording a follow-up episode."

She then quickly changed her tune with a heartfelt apology after fans voiced their disdain, writing that her comments mocked both the victims and the #MeToo campaign.

"My podcast is an outlet for me to share my unfiltered opinion with my listeners; but on my latest episode I crossed a line," she posted in a Twitter

A deal has yet to be finalized, according to an individual with knowledge of the situation. Meyers’ selection would make sense, given that he has become increasingly relevant with his barbs directed at the Trump presidency.
