An interesting Ghost Whisperer casting note:

Co-star Camryn Manheim has landed a role for her eight-year-old son, Milo. He'll play a junior magician named Reilly on a November episode of the CBS drama.

“I’m a little embarrassed by this, but it’s just a one-time thing,” Camryn told TV Guide Magazine. “He’s shooting a handkerchief trick at this moment with the young actor who’s playing Melinda’s son, who we’ll see has his own magic. That tells you what kind of stage mother I am – I’m not even with him on set!”

Ghost Whisperer Jumps Ahead 5 Years in Season Premiere

27 September 2009 3:54 PM, PDT | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

Last season on Ghost Whisperer we said goodbye to Rick Payne (Jay Mohr) and hello to Eli James (Jamie Kennedy). Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) finds out she’s pregnant while Jim (David Conrad) is shot and turns into Sam/Jim. The Book of Changes shows up and we learn about “The Watchers.” As the season closes, we find out Melinda is having a boy whose abilities will be greater than her own.

Recap

As the season starts with the episode “Birthday Presence,” we find Jim and very anxious Melinda worried about the birth of their child. As the book noted last year, her child would be born on September 25th, 2009. (Lucky for us, that is the air-date of this episode.) Worrying about the health of her child, Melinda heads to the hospital where complications arise and her child, Aiden (Connor Gibbs), must immediately be delivered via C-section.

'Ghost Whisperer' Cast Talks Baby Superpower and Time Jump

29 July 2009 5:26 PM, PDT | buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news »

As it turns out, Ghost Whisperer is indeed going ahead with its plan to jump five years into the future a la Desperate Housewives. Camryn Manheim, who plays Delia Banks on the CBS series, says the upcoming season as "scary."

"There's another underlining darkness to it," says Manheim, adding that Melinda's (Jennifer Love-Hewitt) baby will indeed have some powers, but the Ghost Whisperer showrunners are still figuring out what he can and cannot do. "Where Melinda has embraced her powers fully for herself, she hasn't embraced it in this situation and it's very complex and complicated."

We’re Live-Blogging The ‘American Idol’ Finale!

19 May 2009 4:55 PM, PDT | MTV Newsroom | See recent MTV Newsroom news »

It’s here! It only took us 38 episodes, 17 weeks and one Tatiana del Toro, but the “American Idol” finale is just moments away!

Tonight I’m live-blogging from the actual honest-to-Gokey “American Idol” finale - but don’t get too excited. I’m not in the auditorium with the judges and the random celebrity guests and the Seacrest. I’m in a “press viewing party” in the basement of the Nokia Theatre, squeezed in between other (sweaty) media outlets and watching the show on a monitor. This is the glamorous underbelly of showbiz, folks, and taking a look around the room, I’d say put the emphasis on belly.

For those of you who need to get caught up to speed on tonight’s proceedings, it’s Battle Royale between Adam Lambert, a theatrical screaming banshee who revitalized the aging competition with a unique style and a coy/savvy depiction of his sexuality, »
