It was "Storage Wars" meets "Hot in Cleveland" (Wed., 10 p.m. Et on TV Land) as Dan and Laura Dotson played themselves on the popular comedy. In the episode, the couple sold a storage unit to Victoria Chase, who was desperate to find something major to distract the media.
That embarrassing Japanese commercial for what are essentially adult diaper-pants made it state-side, and suddenly it's all anyone is talking about. While a painting they had hopes for proved to be a fake, they found a letter attacked to it that may well have been written by Abraham Lincoln. Even more salacious, it indicated that he'd had an affair with an intern -- decades before it became a political "tradition."
A crisis of conscience forced Victoria to keep Lincoln's secret in the end. She didn't want his legacy to be tarnished by something negative the way her own was at that moment. »

Betty White is using her popularity to rally support for Los Angeles Congressman Howard Berman, who is battling to stay in office.
The Golden Girls legend and her Hot in Cleveland co-star Wendie Malick have filmed a new campaign advert urging Los Angeles residents to vote for Berman, who is fighting to remain in his congressional seat against fellow Democrat Brad Sherman following redistricting.
White has one clear reason why she is voting for the politician - he is kind to animals.
The 90 year old, who is passionate about animal rights, has called Berman a "leader who fights for the humane treatment of all animals..." adding, "and he has very nice blue eyes." »

Betty White is a fan of Rep. Howard Berman's (D-Calif.) "very nice blue eyes."
The former "Golden Girl" praises them -- and Berman's animal-rights record -- with fellow actress Wendie Malick in an ad released Monday.
Berman, who was redistricted into a contentious, expensive race against Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.), has a long list of Hollywood supporters, and estimated the industry would account for a fifth of his fundraising.
Berman also picked up a less glitzy endorsement Monday from the Los Angeles Times.

The night of the 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards may have seemed to start out at a high point when Ellen DeGeneres kicked off the show, held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, but the comedian/talk show host, who thanked her supporters for keeping her name on the JCPenney campaign, was truly just the beginning of a hugely entertaining event.
The Awards, which pays tribute to media for fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the Lgbt community in separate events in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, had its share of surprises including a jaw-dropping surprise appearance by an afro-wearing Cher when her son Chaz Bono received the Stephen F. Kolzak Award. There were heartfelt moments when the family of Jamey Rodemeyer took the stage and, also, when out »

The 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards went down on Saturday night at at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in L.A. Lovely ladies like Kat Graham, Ali Larter and Milla Jovovich attended. Larter looked tiny in a ruched red Zac Posen dress while Jovovich was draped in vintage Halston. Kat nailed it in a strapless black gown by Indian designer duo Alpana Neeraj. Grand dames like Betty White made an appearance too. She walked the red carpet with Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves — her co-stars on Hot in Cleveland.
Cher and Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack presented the Stephen F. Kolzak Award to Chaz Bono for making a significant difference in promoting equality. We also love that Josh Hutcherson got the Vanguard Award for the Lgbt ally organization he co-founded called Straight But Not Narrow. The award was presented to him by Benicio del Toro, no less. Betty White may be 90 years old, but she can still hold her own on the runway. On "Hot In Cleveland" (Wed., 10 p.m. Et on TV Land) Wednesday night Victoria Chase (Wendie Malick) was teaching the other ladies to model for a runway show.
After they had demonstrated the standard "bored look to the audience," Victoria instructed them to “Jolie the leg.” Which they did perfectly.
Later, Elka (White) took "the Jolie" to a new level on the runway, revealing a pretty fine right leg and posing like a true red carpet veteran.
"Hot In Cleveland" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. Et on TV Land.

From 1993 to 2005, David Milch and Steven Bochco’s cop drama NYPD Blue was the nakedest, swearing-est show on television. But as we see in this latest installment of Criminal Complex’s episode-by-episode recap of the series, just because there was a lot of sex, violence, and curse words, that doesn’t mean NYPD Blue was without depth, character, and cultural relevance.
Season 1, Episode 4
Original Air Date: October 12th, 1993
“If I had more bullets, I would have shot ‘em all again and again. My problem was I ran out of bullets.”
“Don’t be angry.”
-Detective John Kelly, 15th squad

Billboards, movie theater ads and the cover of the preview screener sent to critics are all confirming it.
And so is the star herself: This isn't the Jennifer Love Hewitt that television viewers are used to.
A racier image of the former "Ghost Whisperer" and "Party of Five" star is the big selling point of "The Client List," a series spinoff of the 2010 cable movie that earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination. Premiering Sunday, April 8, the Lifetime show casts the actress -- also one of its executive producers -- in the new role of Riley Parks, a Texas wife and mother who finds work as a day spa masseuse, then is left by her husband.
Many of her co-workers "provide other services," as the network puts it, to customers ... but Riley maintains, "I don't give extras." However, as her financial situation gets more dire, and the temptation of added profit increases, »

"I just scolded her today," Valerie Bertinelli says about Betty White.
The national showbiz treasure who recently celebrated her 90th birthday launches her NBC series "Betty White's Off Their Rockers," a variation on "Punk'd" with senior citizens as the pranksters, tonight (Wednesday, April 4). Then later in the evening, White's TV Land sitcom "Hot in Cleveland" -- which also stars Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick -- runs back-to-back encore episodes.
"I said, 'You have got to stop! Do you not know how old you are?,'" Bertinelli muses to Zap2it about White's ongoing level of activity. "I actually did scold her a little. She's so precious to us, we just adore her without end, and we do worry about her. But she's like, 'Oh, stop. I'm fine.' And she is.
"At a certain point, the three of us got together and said, 'Listen ... Betty? You're making us look bad. »

When it premiered in 1993, NYPD Blue was a fairly standard TV police drama, except for having the most swearing heard on broadcast TV at the time and more naked butts per episode than a diaper commercial. As we will see in this on-going, episode-by-episode recap, NYPD Blue was a trailblazer for more adult programming on network television not merely for its frank depictions of sex and violence and its use of language, but also because it paid careful attention to the broader themes of masculinity, heroism, father/son relationships, and inner human turmoil.
Season 1, Episode 3

Original Air Date: October 5th, 1993
Three episodes in, and the one thing firmly established is the god-awful episode titles. Just about every episode has a really, really bad pun for a title (This one specifically refers to Sipowicz surreptitiously getting his archenemy Giardella to eat a dog turd; oh, for fun), but fortunately, »
