Bad Santa 2 Trailer Puts Billy Bob Thornton Back to Work

21 hours ago | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

The Legend is back! Billy Bob Thornton is ready for an all-new heist in the long-anticipated sequel Bad Santa 2. The first teaser trailer has officially dropped, and proves you can't reform the worst of criminals. Asleep at the wheel and forever confused by the youth of today, the iconic Willie T. Sokes is back in the mall, ready to take all your personal Christmas present requests, so he can trek them back to the north pole! We don't get to see too much in this quick tease, but it's certainly exciting to see Thornton back in the beard and red suit.

Miramax and Broad Green Pictures announced last year that principal photography had begun in Montr&#233al, Qu&#233bec, Canada on Bad Santa 2. The sequel is a follow-up to the raucous comedy hit Bad Santa first released in 2003. Geyer Kosinski will produce. Billy Bob Thornton is reprising his »

Larry Wilmore Recalls Winning an Emmy for ‘The Bernie Mac Show,’ Meeting Oprah Winfrey

1 June 2016 11:30 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Larry Wilmore is now in front of the camera nearly every night for Comedy Central’s “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore,” but he first attracted Emmy attention for his writing on “In Living Color.” Wilmore went on to win an individual Emmy for penning the groundbreaking pilot of Fox’s “The Bernie Mac Show.” And then he got fired from the show the following season. Wilmore recalls the ups (meeting Oprah Winfrey!) and downs (falling out with Mac), of the Emmy win.

What do you remember about winning?

Halle Berry had done her Oscar speech the same year. (“Bernie Mac”) had won a TV Critics’ Award earlier that summer and I did a joke like I was Halle Berry, I was fake crying or whatever. It got a big laugh and I thought, “If I ever actually won an Emmy I would do that joke.” And it just so happened that I won. »

Ocean’s Eleven is Back: A Celebration of the Franchise

8 March 2016 9:00 PM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

In recent years, Hollywood has come under increasing pressure to address what’s seen as a huge gender inequality issue within the movie industry. With an overwhelmingly positive response to Paul Feig’s upcoming all-female remake of Ghostbusters, and now the news of a possible Ocean’s Eleven reboot, this time with an all-star female cast, it’s looking like things may be about to change.

Rumours of the all-female sequel began to circulate last year, as reported by The Playlist. Since then there have been numerous reports of who will join the cast. Oscar winner Sandra Bullock is reportedly set to step into the lead role, made famous by George Clooney in the 2001 remake of the original film and its sequels.

Hunger Games director Gary Ross has been tipped to direct the remake, which has the backing of the last trilogy’s director Steven Soderbergh, who is also rumoured »

Watch Jay Pharoah Impersonate Kevin Hart, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, and More in Under Four Minutes on SNL

6 March 2016 12:15 PM, PST | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

If there was any question about Saturday Night Live star Jay Pharoah's impression skills, it's safe to say it's officially been laid to rest. During the sketch show's Weekend Update segment on Saturday night, the actor re-enacted a faux "annual meeting" between the black comedians of Hollywood, purported to be held to settle a real-life dispute between Katt Williams and Kevin Hart. In the short clip, Pharoah first imagined a conversation between Hart and Williams, taking on both roles. Later, he mimicked Tracy Morgan and Broad City's Hannibal Buress, as well as Dave Chappelle, Eddie Murphy and Chris Tucker. »

Hey, Chris Rock: Here's How the Oscars Should Go

27 January 2016 1:00 PM, PST | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

Dear Mr. Rock, As a movie journalist, I wouldn't normally dream of telling a multimillionaire comedian how to do his job, but this one is too important. You're not just hosting the Oscars anymore, you're hosting #OscarsSoWhite. Since, pretty much by definition, you'll be the only black person sanctioned to be onstage, it's all on you, brother. Forget the fact that, as Wanda Sykes might say, white folks are lookin' at you. Far scarier is the realization that black folks are lookin' at you - and Asian-Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, et. al. The pressure does not get any greater. So »
