Jay and Silent Bob Reboot Brings Back Clerks Star for Multiple Roles
Back in February, it was confirmed that the highly-anticipated Jay & Silent Bob Reboot will be Kevin Smith's next movie, with the director also returning to play Silent Bob alongside Jason Mewes' Jay. Today we have word that another important member of the director's "View Askiewniverse" is coming back, with Brian O'Halloran, who played Dante Hicks in Clerks and starred in several of Kevin Smith's movies, returning for this reboot. Here's what the actor had to say, hinting that he'll play Dante, and a number of other characters he's portrayed in the director's movies.

"Yes, I'm definitely going to be a part of that. We're going to have a couple of very funny bits with the Kevin Smith characters that I've portrayed. I've portrayed a number of them at this point, so I think we're going to bring a variety of them back."

James Van Der Beek says there are “serious talks” about a Varsity Blues sequel

Last year it was announced that Cmt was in development on a TV series based upon the 1999 coming-of-age college football film Varsity Blues, and now actor James Van Der Beek has revealed to Yahoo! Movies that the TV project has been shelved, although we may now get a movie sequel instead.

“I’m not sure how much I can say, but there are some very serious talks about that,” says Van Der Beek, who portrayed the character of quarterback Jonathan ‘Mox’ Moxon. “We are talking actively about that world and modernizing it.”

Van Der Beek also had his own suggestion as to what he’d like to see from a follow-up, stating that: “I say, take Mox, who is this good teammate and you put him in a hole, and make it some kind of redemption story, but played out on the field and off.

Varsity Blues was directed by Brian Robbins,

James Van Der Beek Is Ready for Varsity Blues 2, Will It Happen?
Before Friday Night Lights, both the movie and hit TV series of the same name, fans got a glimpse at the football-crazed way of life in West Texas in the 1999 film Varsity Blues. The R-rated movie, one of the first under the nascent MTV Films banner, was a modest hit, earning $52.8 million from a $16 million budget, and now it seems we may be returning to this world with a sequel set in modern-day. While nothing is set in stone, James Van Der Beek hinted in a recent interview that there are talks under way to continue this story.

The actor made this surprising revelation during a Facebook Live Q&A with Yahoo! Movies, when a fan asked, since everything is getting a remake or a sequel these days, what are the chances that a new Varsity Blues movie may happen. There was talk of a Varsity Blues TV series happening with Cmt,

DVD Review – Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016)

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, 2016.

Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.

Starring Milla Jovovich, Iain Glen, Ali Larter, Shawn Roberts, Eoin Macken, Fraser James, Ruby Rose, William Levy, and Ever Anderson.

Synopsis:

In the supposed final instalment of the video game-based movie franchise, Alice returns to The Hive in Raccoon City to face off against Umbrella Corp. in a bid to save humanity… or something like that.

Out of all the modern (i.e. 21st century) horror movie franchises to have made millions of dollars at the box office the Resident Evil series is arguably the most debated amongst audiences. On the one hand the franchise does offer up the kind of visceral thrills that wiping out hordes of zombies in a video game setting provides, with a seemingly infinite number of undead corpses splattering up against the screen as our heroine Alice (Milla Jovovich) uses every weapon at her disposal
