On screen, Ryan Reynolds had no choice but to put a ring on it (Sandra Bullock coerced him!) in The Proposal. But for these stars in their off-screen lives, no charades were involved - and in one case no ring, either - when the big question was popped … just a nude beach and a sports car to help set the mood. Jason Biggs, married to Jenny Mollen: "I proposed twice. I proposed once spontaneously - I didn't even have a ring. I used an earring. We were in St. Martin. I just bought her these earrings and I took

Real Spit: Original hard beats, two new verses on each record and 50 Cent talking at the end of a lot of the songs. Admit it: Sometimes hearing Fif speak at the end of records is just as entertaining as hearing him rap.
"That's when I don't have to be in song format," 50 said last week from his new G-Unit Manhattan office. Yeah, he and his crew packed up from their old 34th Street digs and have a better spot. "I can say exactly what I mean, and people are entertained by that too. That's also a sign that you're a star."
50 is using his star power to help accomplish his mission.

'He's either gonna make people paranoid and hate him, or you gonna have to get on that boat and ride,' Foxx says of the up-and-coming Mc.

You can officially add Jamie Foxx's name to the growing list of Drake supporters out there.
The Oscar-winning singer/actor recently featured the highly touted up-and-comer on a remix of his new single, "Digital Girl" (which they recently unveiled during a performance on "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien"), and he plans on keeping the collaboration going in the coming months — because he's officially a believer.
"Drake is the new movement, man. You gotta think about what this kid has done, man. To have records on a mixtape, and then the next thing you know he's on top of the charts. And every time you mention him, people go crazy,

There’s no official word on whether or not Mariah Carey’s new single “Obsessed” is about Eminem, but there is plenty of evidence that suggests it. While it’s a catchy song and may end up being the summer jam of ‘09, it falls pretty flat as an Eminem dis.
Plenty of artists have attacked Em over the course of his 10-year career, and all of managed to fall flat on their faces. It’s not surprising, as Marshall Mathers is one of the most formidable battle rappers ever to storm on the scene (his schooling of Papa Doc at the end of “8 Mile” is pretty accurate). It also doesn’t help that most of the MCs who have gone after Em haven’t exactly been heavyweights. Does Mariah sit at the top of the heap? Here are the other contenders.

Celebrity guests at a party for Edie Falco's new TV show Nurse Jackie got a medical scare of their own when an elderly female collapsed and was carried away on a stretcher.
Julianna Margulies, LL Cool J and Debra Winger were among the star-studded crowd at the hospital-themed party in New York on Tuesday.
Showtime executives had a space at the Parker Meridien hotel decorated with a hospital bed and an X-ray machine, leading some guests to believe the woman's fall was a stunt.
But actress Merritt Wever, who also plays a nurse on the show, quickly realised the incident was no performance and called paramedics to the scene.
The woman was treated for exhaustion and released, reports the New York Post.

On June 2, 2009, Showtime held the Nurse Jackie Red Carpet Premiere at the Le Parker Meridien Hotel and Director's Guild of America Tower. Several celebrities made it out for the premiere, including show stars Anna Deavere Smith and Paul Schulze, as well as LL Cool J, Steve Buscemi and many more. Even though Edie Falco was the night's star, Daisy Tahan, who plays Nurse Jackie Peyton's daughter Fiona Peyton, won the hearts of the carpet. They say a party isn't official until someone is caught having sex (which happened at the Dexter Season 3 Premiere Party at Showtime's Metropolitan House in Gramercy Park) or someone is sent to the hospital. During the Premiere After Party, Merritt Wever, who plays Zoey Brakow, Jackie's nurse in training, rushed to the lower level of the party exclaiming, "I think someone is like having a heart attack." At first, we didn't know if this was real.

With upfronts a week in the rear-view, the networks have had a chance to look at their new shows and start nitpicking, which can only mean one thing: Recasting season! According to The Hollywood Reporter, at least six first-year shows are already undergoing recasting, with four shows on CBS, including the network's three big new dramas. The trade paper says that Louise Lombard is departing "NCIS: Los Angeles," leaving an opening for the show's female lead opposite Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J. Lombard's Clara, a former major in the military police, was introduced in the show's two-episode backdoor pilot, but...

In a formal presentation held on Wednesday, May 20, CBS announced its official Fall 2009 schedule. Among the highlighted ones are the pick-up of "Medium" which has been snubbed by NBC and the go-ahead on "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" spin-off which is titled "NCIS: Los Angeles".
CBS Studios which is behind "Medium" previously criticized NBC for canceling the show starring Patricia Arquette. "NBC's cancellation of 'Medium' is inexplicable to us," the statement said. "The ratings don't lie: 'Medium' outperforms many of NBC's renewed shows ... We believe the show has a significant future and await developments." It will be put on Fridays, sandwiched by "Ghost Whisperer" and "Numb3rs".
Meanwhile, "NCIS: Los Angeles" which was previously thought to be named "NCIS: Legend", focuses on a new batch of naval agents who have been introduced in an episode of "NCIS". LL Cool J is starring as Special Agent Sam Hanna,

In New York this morning, CBS released its schedule to advertisers. CBS had less work to do with its Fall 2009 schedule. And, comfortable atop the ratings, the Eye didn’t mess around with what wasn’t broken.
The big news was that the network has picked up Medium, which was cancelled by NBC just yesterday. Produced by sister company CBC Television Studios, it was a simple decision for the broadcast network to pick up the supernatural series that stars Patricia Arquette.
As expected, and as is logical, Medium will be paired with the thematically-similar Ghost Whisperer on Friday nights.
Other than that, CBS’s fall schedule is largely business as usual, anchored by sitcoms and procedurals.
The only new comedy, Accidentally on Purpose brings Jenna Elfman back to your television as a movie critic who gets pregnant. Accidentally, of course. It will air in the Monday comedy block between How I Met Your Mother

CBS made its upfront presentation today to advertisers, showcasing its upcoming fall 2009 television programming. The new schedule involves some additions, some cancellations and some shuffling around of existing shows. You'll see that it has their comedy night remaining in tact on Mondays, with the addition of the new comedy Accidentally on Purpose. Another new addition to the schedule is the NCIS spinoff, NCIS: Los Angeles, which will star LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell. The Eye Network also decided to revive the recently cancelled NBC show, Medium, picking up the rights to air it. As we previously reported, CBS unfortunately decided not to pick up The Unit for a 5th season. Without a Trace was also canceled. Here's the new schedule: Monday 8 Pm How I met Your Mother 8:30 Pm Accidentally on Purpose 9 p.m Two and a Half Men 9:30 Pm The Big Bang Theory 10 Pm CSI: Miami

Chicago – In a relatively shocking announcement as a part of fall schedule upfronts this week, CBS actually pulled the trigger on “Without a Trace,” a show that had reportedly gotten too expensive for the network. There were rumors that they may do the same with “Cold Case,” but that show will return with on-the-bubble shows “The New Adventures of Old Christine” and “Rules of Engagement” also being miraculously renewed and “Medium” being saved.
This Fall CBS adds the popular drama series Medium, starring Patricia Arquette, Fridays (9:00-10:00 Pm, Et/Pt), forming a hauntingly compatible two-hour block with Ghost Whisperer at 8:00 Pm.

The eye network also unveiled four new series that will inlcude stars Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J, Julianna Margulies and Alex O'Loughlin. There's also a new comedy for Jenna Elfman and the network is moving its successful "The Mentalist" to the crucial Thursday night timeslot to follow megahit "CSI," CBS announced in a press release. The dramas "Cold Case" and "Numbers" are coming back along with the comedies "The New Adventures of Old Christine," "Rules of Engagement" and "Gary Unmarried." Failing to make the cut were "Without a Trace," "The Unit" and "11th Hour." CBS decided to keep "NCIS" on its Tuesday night lineup, leading into the show's new spinoff "NCIS: Los Angeles," which stars O'Donnell and LL Cool J. CBS announced eight brand-new series for the 2009-10 TV season, including ones starring Chris O'Donnell, LL Cool J, Julianna Margulies and Alex O'Loughlin, and swooped in and picked up NBC's castoff Medium.
