13 hours ago | Rollingstone.com | See recent Rolling Stone news »

There are shows that have been justly lauded as the best the medium has to offer. And then there are those series that have been unjustly obscured by history ... for the moment. Some are cult faves that never crossed over; others were short-lived hits that didn’t get kissed by the rerun gods. And some were just plain trash. But as Oscar the Grouch used to sing, we love trash — anything dirty or dingy or dusty. Here are a dozen shows that didn't make our "100 Greatest TV Shows" list but damn, »

“X-Files”…the comedy?

Fox has given a pilot production commitment to “Ghosted,” a series described as a comedic sort of “X-Files,” Variety has confirmed. Craig Robinson and Adam Scott are set to star in the potential series.

“Ghosted” follows a cynical, hilarious skeptic, Leroy Wright (Robinson), and a genius “true believer” in the paranormal, Max Allison (Adam Scott), who are hired by the Underground Investigative Service to look into the rampant “unexplained” activity in Los Angeles — all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race.

Molly Parker has lived in L.A. for 15 years now.

For a time it seemed like you couldn’t make a Canadian film without giving the actor from Pitt Meadows, B.C., a role.

And though Parker has long since found success south of the border — particularly on TV shows like "Six Feet Under", "Deadwood", and most recently Netflix’ "House of Cards" where she plays Congresswoman Jackie Sharp — she’ll jump at most chances to return home.

Which is one of the reasons you’ll see her in this month’s Vancouver-shot drama, The 9th Life of Louis Drax.

20 new fall TV shows to get excited about

30 August 2016 6:00 AM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Once upon a time, conventional wisdom in TV suggested that any shows debuting outside of the fall were in some way lesser than the ones launching in September and October. Thanks to cable, streaming, and even a transformation of the way the broadcast networks schedule things, the roles have almost entirely reversed: now the really special stuff gets saved for January or later, while a lot of what's scheduled for a more traditional launch can be viewed as cannon fodder. But there's still a lot of promising stuff coming this fall across broadcast, cable, and streaming — not just the welcome return of shows like Rectify, You're the Worst, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but a far more exciting batch of new series than were »
