The actress, who also played vampire Pearl on "The Vampire Diaries," is guesting on "Castle" as Scarlet Jones, the bodyguard to a notorious adult video kingpin named Beau Randolph, Zap2it has learned. Although she failed to stop her client's murder, Scarlet attracts the attention of Detective Esposito (Jon Huertas).
Hmmm...hopefully for Lanie's (Tamala Jones) sake his interest is strictly professional. (We haven't given up on the precinct's other couple!)
Hu's episode, "Death Gone Crazy," is shooting now and is expected to air Jan. 14. »
Don't worry Castle fans, Luci is just fine but nowhere near a computer at the moment so the duty of sharing these terrific new Castle clips from next week's "Secret's Safe with Me" is all mine. Sounds like it will be another great Castle mystery from the description below, but you'll find out in the clips that there is some progression on the romance aspect as well as Castle prepares to go slightly more public with their relationship. Who thinks it won't be long before this relationship is completely out of the bag and causing major problems for everyone on the show? See my hand up over here? In the meantime, we can enjoy the innocence (?) of blossoming love, and hope for the best. Oh yeah, and really gruesome murders too!

While Rick and Kate's relationship is what drives Castle, those two hearts aren't the only ones on the line this season as Lanie and Esposito's rocky relationship comes back into focus over the coming weeks.
But is there room for two happy couples in Castle-land? That was the question I posed to Tamala Jones when we chatted earlier this week about this relationship resurrection, what fans can expect this season and her cinematic contribution to my childhood!
TheInsider.com: What was it like reading the premiere script and seeing how fully the show was going there with Castle & Beckett?
Tamala Jones: I was like, "Finally! God! I've been waiting." I just started clapping when I read the script ... and I was home alone! [laughs] To see it play out was even better -- but wait until you see what's coming this season. It's really cool the way the writers set it up. It's going to »
Will Once Upon a Time fans see August in September? Who’s the (new) boss on White Collar? Will Grey’s Anatomy‘s April again play doctor with Avery? Read on for answers to those questions plus other teases from hot shows.
Once Upon a Time | I can’t seem to write anything about Once Season 2 without several of you showing up in Comments to ask about August, who in the finale completed his transformation back into wooden Pinocchio. Did he remain petrified? Or did Emma’s lifting of the curse restore him to his warm-blooded glory? I can tell »

Chicago – ABC’s hit show “Castle” has always done cool better than hot. What I mean is that the program works because of the smooth dialogue and sexual tension between its two highly underrated leads — Nathan Fillion & Stana Katic. Now that the lead characters have turned their cool flirting into hot sex, can the show survive the switch in tone? I hate to admit it, but the fifth-season premiere, airing tonight on ABC, gives one reason for concern.
Television Rating: 2.5/5.0
After four years of “will they or won’t they,” the writers of “Castle” took the plunge at the end of season four and finally got Richard Castle (Fillion) and Kate Beckett (Katic) in bed together. It came after a flurry of activity related to Beckett’s past and career, including her leaving the NYPD while a violent mystery man (Tahmoh Penikett from “Battlestar Galactica”) threatened to destroy the safety »

But if you're into that sort of thing, be warned. As co-star Tamala Jones (Beckett's Bff Lanie Parish) tells us, "Put your seatbelts on, 'Castle' fans, because we're going to take you on a very wild ride this season!"
Both Fillion and Katic are "on fire," says Jones. (Yeah, we noticed that in the premiere.) "I told Stana, 'Honey, you are giving them supermodel tough badass b**** this season!' This is the best I've seen her in this character since we started 'Castle.'
"I mean, I'm straight as a board -- there's not a lesbian bone in my body -- but I had to tell her, 'Honey, those legs and that butt -- I had to hit »
Whether they admit it or not, every showrunner worries about the "Moonlighting" curse -- when a show completely fizzles after its will-they-or-won't-they leads finally hook up following years of emotional foreplay.
But that won't happen with "Castle." We've seen the Season 5 premiere and can guarantee that Castle and Beckett's chemistry is more intense than ever -- and it's not just because of actors Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion's insane, sizzling-hot chemistry.
In addition to creator Andrew Marlowe's "genius," "Castle's" successful transition from partners to lovers owes a huge debt to its new writers, says co-star Tamala Jones (who plays medical examiner Lanie Parish).
"I was sad to see some of our writers go because we're all family," she tells Zap2it, "but Andrew is a genius. You may not agree with his methods -- we didn't want to see the writers go -- but the new writers »
The fourth season of Castle ended with a bang, literally, as Beckett and Castle finally consummated their long festering feelings for one another. And you just know there's got to be a morning after -- which is exactly where the fifth season picks up as you can see in this brand new promo!
"So it wasn't a dream," Castle says in the clip, to which Beckett replies, "You liked it? Me too." [Professional pause: "Squeeeeeeeee!"]
And while Rick and Kate are clearly comfortable to explore their feelings, they're not quite ready for anyone else to know about it just yet, which leads to a series of cute moments that reinforce the fact season five will bring the show back to a much funnier place.

Sifting through the S&A archives, as I caught up on projects we've written about in the past but haven't updated you on in a long while... Here's a first trailer for writer/director/executive producer Charles Murray's feature debut, Things Never Said, which stars Shanola Hampton (Shameless), Omari Hardwick, Elimu Nelson (The Shield), Tamala Jones, Dorian Missick and Michael Beach. This is a project we first alerted you to last summer, but haven't reported on since then; I checked in on the film's Facebook page, and saw that a trailer has actually been online since last fall. Obviously we missed »
Castle Sneak Peeks: Episode 4.20 "The Limey"
Well, this week's episode certainly left the fandom - and Castle - heartbroken, didn't it? It also split the fans' opinion on whether Castle's reaction to Kate's big secret was properly addressed and what the fallout of the secret and his reaction is going to play out in this last stretch of episodes until the season finale on May 7.
We have to wonder no more. The Alphabet Network made us sweat a little tonight on the expectation of these sneak peeks and I have to say I am definitely not disappointed. Particularly the clip that shows Kate and Lanie in the detective's apartment. See, Mr. Marlowe, that is an awesome use of Tamala Jones' screen time and it gives Lanie something else to do. I loved everything about that clip and I really, really hope someone is taking notes and will make »

While on the set of The Vampire Diaries about six weeks ago, I took note of a familiar face walking around set: Robert Ri’chard, who plays Jaime.
Now, at the time, we’d only recently been introduced to the boy, who is the adoptive son of Bonnie’s (Kat Graham) mom, Abby (Persia White). But seeing him lurk around set was a pretty good indication he’d be back. And he is!
This Thursday, in fact, and from what Kat Graham indicates, it’s to connect on a new, romantic level. (They’re not blood, so we’re Ok with that, »

Question: You got anything good from Grey’s Anatomy on Meredith and Derek? —Jessica
Ausiello: Would you settle for something bad? Derek’s efforts to encourage a hesitant Meredith to work with him again in neurology will backfire. “It doesn’t go so well,” reveals series creator Shonda Rhimes. “I’ve been very clear — and the writers and I have had long conversations about this — that part of saving their relationship, they decided, »

ABC’s Castle will close the book on Season 4 “with such a huge satisfaction, but such a huge cliffhanger. You’re going to be like, ‘Oh, that’s great. We got through that, but — [Gasps] — oh my God, did that just happen?’”
That titillating teaser is courtesy of Lanie’s portrayer, Tamala Jones, who also used the word “spectacular” to describe the season-ender when speaking with TVLine prior to the ABC drama’s PaleyFest event this weekend.
Color us intrigued.

At the Castle PaleyFest panel last night, we were treated to the calm before the storm. That's how series creator Andrew Marlowe described the March 19 episode of his ABC hit, which those in attendance were fortunate enough to screen.
On the press line prior to the Q&A, however, there was no such calm.
TV Fanatic was there and scrapped our way to scoop from Fillion regarding the upcoming appearance of Adam Baldwin; Katic regarding her favorite scenes from this season; Jerald regarding what it's like to play someone actually Not in love with Rick Castle; and, yes, much to his chagrin, we even got Huertas to use the term Caskett. The "Castle" panel at Paley Fest 2012 was light on scoop -- there are only so many times the cast and creator Andrew Marlowe can vaguely hint at Castle and Beckett hooking up without actually confirming one way or another -- but it definitely packed in its fair share of hilarious, quotable moments.
Tamala Jones, who plays medical examiner Lanie Parish, told the crowd that kissing Nathan Fillion in the film noir-inspired episode "The Blue Butterfly" was a highlight of her time on the show. No offense to onscreen ex Jon Huertas, though. "Your breath is fresh," she told him, but kissing Fillion was "like satin or something."
Speaking of Fillion, the actor said that he worried when sharing a scene with a tiger during "Cuffed." "I don't want my last words to be 'Oh God, oh God, I shouldn't have gotten this close to a tiger! It's eating my face! »
Are you ready for the "last normal episode before the stormy weather hits," Castle fans?
That's how series creator Andrew Marlowe introduced the March 19 installment, "A Dance with Death," prior to screening it for all of us in attendance at the show's PaleyFest panel.
What can viewers expect from the episode, which focuses on the death of a reality show contestant? An admission by Beckett and some strippers, for starters.
But the theme of the evening, as you might expect, was Beckett and Castle and when the heck Caskett would actually come to fruition. Isn't it time for these two to get together?

ABC’s Castle on Friday night held court at PaleyFest12, held at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. There are a handful of things that Castle does well. Even better, there are a few things that Castle does Really well. After watching "The Blue Butterfly”, we can now add nostalgia and flashbacks to the latter list.
When there is a series such as this - which sets the bar high with continuous entertaining hours of comedy, drama and romance - it is hard to have an episode exceed those expectations. It’s been done before, with the 3Xk tales and season finales, but this hour was different. It didn’t have your heart thumping, nor were you sitting on the edge of the couch - but it didn’t need any of that. What it did have was solid writing on a case perfect for Rick Castle.
Let’s just start by saying that Nathan Fillion is one of a kind. Fans have seem him in pretty much »
