‘Dear Basketball’: How Animation Legend Glen Keane Collaborated with NBA Legend Kobe Bryant
It’s going to be very hard for the Academy to resist nominating the animated short, “Dear Basketball,” given the star power of Kobe Bryant, John Williams, and Glen Keane. And why not? It’s an exquisite little piece (adapted from Bryan’t’s retirement poem and co-produced by him), which traces his fascination with basketball as a child and how that passion and drive led to an extraordinary 20-year career capped by five NBA championships.

Besides, the project inspired Keane, the former Disney animator (“Aladdin,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Little Mermaid”), to reach new heights of hand-drawn fancy. Early on, in fact, Keane made the crucial connection between basketball and ballet, creating a dance between the young and adult versions of Bryant.

Jimmy Kimmel's hilarious "Mean Tweets" segment has humbled movie stars, professional athletes and even the former president of the United States, and has now once again turned its sights on country stars.

On Wednesday's Jimmy Kimmel Live, fans got a chance to see how some of the biggest names in country music react when faced with the truly awful things their haters have spewed on the social media platform -- and it's amazing.

Flip Management, the digital talent management firm launched by industry stalwart Lisa Filipelli, has announced the hire of Stephanie Piza.

Piza, who has been named talent manager at Flip, will be based out of the company’s Los Angeles headquarters and work closely with Filipelli on representation of vlogger-actors Kian Lawley and Jc Caylen.
