We hold in our hands the covers for DC Comics this March. As a child of four can plainly see, these comics have been hermetically sealed in a Cgc 9.8 slab, and they’ve been kept in a #2 mayonnaise jar under a giant pile of Christmas tinsel since noon today.
What do we have worth noting? The first fill-in artist on Justice League, although Gene Ha is certainly no slouch in that department. We also have new writers on Firestorm and Green Arrow, new backups in Justice League and Action Comics, and the DC 52 hits lucky number 7.
Shall we see who is the fariest of them all? Oh indeedy, let’s do!
As usual, spoilers may lurk beyond this point.

I never would have guessed back in the day that Joshua Jackson would become my favorite Dawson's Creek alumnus, but then the former Pacey had to go and win me over as Peter Bishop on Fringe. (And really, who saw that whole Katie Holmes/Tom Cruise thing coming?) As such, I'm happy to see the guy getting more and better work, and I'm going to count starring in a new big-screen thriller with Marisa Tomei as a tick in the "win" column. Come to think of it, back when Marisa Tomei won an Oscar for her role in My Cousin Vinny I kind of figured that punchline would be the highlight of her career. I'm not ashamed to admit when I'm wrong, and Tomei has been proving me wrong like a boss of late, with great performances in movies such as The Wrestler and Cyrus. Let's hear it for the »

A good thriller gets people's blood racing, and what better way to start than with two Hollywood scene-stealers in lead roles. Which is why it's no surprise that Marisa Tomei and Joshua Jackson have joined Alexander Siddig in the cast of Ruba Nadda's upcoming "Inescapable."
Nadda will direct the story of a Syrian expatriate (Siddig) who must go back to his homeland in Damascus after his journalist daughter—who had been working in the unstable zone—goes missing. Upon his return, he enlists the help of a former love (Tomei) to help him. (Hey, if your daughter's gonna go missing and you need help finding her, Tomei's not a bad choice for a companion.)
Along the way, the duo connects with an embassy official (Jackson), who is at first seemingly helpful, but may have an agenda of his own. (Dun dun dun.)
As Deadline reveals, this is a reunion for Nadda and Siddig, »

One’s been having a great, multi-year run that nobody takes notice of, the other was able to use a TV show to stage a comeback. Now, Variety reports that Marisa Tomei and Joshua Jackson are starring in Inescapable, the newest feature from Cairo Time director Ruba Nadda, which also stars Alexander Siddig. The film follows “a Syrian expatriate (Siddig) whose journalist daughter goes missing in Damascus.” He returns home “to find her despite the risks and calls on a former love (Tomei) to help him,” and an “embassy official (Jackson) is at first helpful but may have an agenda of his own.”
Myriad will produce the and sell the project, which the company’s head, Kirk D’Amico, calls a “compelling and emotionally-charged story [which] should provide audiences with a unique view into an unstable and dangerous place that we only seem to know about from news headlines.” Being able »

Inescapable is an upcoming indie thriller which comes from director Ruba Nadda. In case you’re not so familiar with Nadda’s work I will just remind you that she’s the woman behind Cairo Time project. New images from director Stephen Frears’ upcoming comedy (or, er, dramedy) “Lay the Favorite”, which is, as you might expect from the title, sportsbook betting. If you don’t know what sportsbook betting is, good for you, because it means you aren’t in danger of losing your shirt. And your house. And possibly your dog… In the film, Bruce Willis plays a guy named Dink Heimowitz. I told you it was a comedy, right? (Ahem. I meant, dramedy.) A dramedy centered on a thirtysomething woman who becomes involved with a group of geeky fiftyish men who have found a way to work the sportsbook system in Las Vegas to their advantage. Starring Bruce Willis, Vince Vaughn, Rebecca Hall, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Laura Prepon, Joshua Jackson, and Frank Grillo. No release date as yet »

Last season, we made some predictions as to which lucky actor might play Klaus, "The Vampire Diaries" most-feared villain. Of course, we were way off, because Joseph Morgan didn't even cross our minds, and he's perfection.
Still, we haven't given up on our dream of being the best backseat casting director ever, so we're back with some new suggestions as to who will play the remaining two Originals.
At least, we think there are only two left. If Mama Original bore 7 children, then only two remain to be met, since one died in Europe, Henrik was killed, and we already know Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah. Some fans speculate that the first dead kid doesn't count and that Stefan is actually carting around four coffins, including Elijah's. We'll see!
There's no word yet on who the remaining Originals may be (though other sites have reported an Original named Finn is on his way, »

Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber lounged on the sand in Cabo yesterday. They watched from the beach while their kids Kaia and Presley splashed in the ocean. The family of four has been in Mexico since last week, and they celebrated Thanksgiving in the sunny spot with friends. George Clooney and his girlfriend Stacy Keibler, as well as Molly Sims and her new husband Scott Stuber, joined Cindy and Rande south of the border for the getaway. The star-studded group had plenty of other pals to visit with since Diane Kruger, Joshua Jackson, Cat Deeley, and Alex Rodriguez have also soaked up the sun there. All the famous faces mean plenty of bikini and shirtless time, though George has kept covered up due to his recent elbow surgery. View Slideshow › »

Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson soaked up the sun in Cabo yesterday afternoon. Diane wore a mismatched bikini and a cardigan while Joshua slipped on bright red shorts and relaxed with his iPad in hand. The couple have been in Mexico for the last few days and were also spotted lounging outside of their hotel on Friday and chatting with pal Cat Deeley poolside. The south of the border spot is a favorite for Diane and Josh, who took the same holiday trip in 2009 and also vacationed there in January this year. They're not the only celebrities who've taken advantage of the Thanksgiving break with a getaway since Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber and George Clooney and his girlfriend Stacy Keibler are also currently spending time in Cabo.
