Audra McDonald and Stanley Tucci on starring in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast

16 March 2017 4:23 AM, PDT | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Author: Stefan Pape

To mark the release of Beauty and the Beast – which hits cinemas across the UK on March 17th, we had the pleasure of sitting down to discuss the project with two of its stars, Audra McDonald (Madame Garderobe) and Stanley Tucci (Maestro Cadenza), as they discuss the joys in shooting this live-action reimagining of such a classic animation.

Stanley describes his role, which is a brand new creation, while the pair discuss the pertinence of Disney movies, carrying the weight of the original film’s legacy, and the relationships their own kids have with movies they star in.

When providing vocals are you able to enjoy the movie back more so like an audience member would? Are you able to detach yourself a little more than you’re able to when watching yourself on screen?

Stanley Tucci: It’s always good not to see yourself, that’s a great thing. »

CBS All Access is hunkering down for a protracted Fight.

The Eye network’s upstart streaming offshoot has renewed The Good Fight for a second season, to launch in early 2018. Although CBS has not released any hard data about The Good Wife spinoff’s viewership for its first five episodes, CBS Interactive CEO Marc DeBevoise says the reaction from subscribers has thus far been “phenomenal,” adding, “This series and its characters are just beginning and we can’t wait to see where Robert and Michelle King, their creative team and the amazing cast take The Good Fight next.”

James Purefoy on the Relevance and Urbanization of Hap and Leonard: Mucho Mojo, Brotherly Love and Taking Risks

15 March 2017 7:00 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Tonight when Hap and Leonard returns to Sundance, you'll once again see James Purefoy affecting his East Texan accent in his East Texan wardrobe, playing Hap Collins, best friend (more of a brother, really) to Leonard Pine (Michael Kenneth Williams).

What kind of shenanigans do they find themselves in during Hap and Leonard Season 2? Let's just say things get very real very fast, and these near-brothers come very close to losing each other.

In a discussion that examines the unexpected relevance of Mucho Mojo and how entertainment can be a lens through the past or future what we're experiencing today, Mr. Purefoy engagingly supported his show, the social issues of modern society, the power of good authors and the benefit of fear.

TV Fanatic: So let's talk Hap and Leonard.

James Purefoy: Go on. Do you want to or are you being forced to? [laughs]

No! I'm not being forced at all. »

Ginny Weasley Supports Big Brother Ron at His Premiere in La

10 March 2017 7:20 AM, PST | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

It's been almost six years since the last Harry Potter film hit theaters, but Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley, is still very much attached to his onscreen family. The actor had a mini Hp reunion when he attended the La premiere of his new Crackle show, Snatch, at Arclight Cinemas on Thursday night. After hitting the red carpet with his costars (and doing impressions of Salt Bae), Rupert attended the premiere's afterparty where he met up with Bonnie Wright, who played his little sister Ginny Weasley. The two, who also reunited at Universal Studios Orlando's third annual "A Celebration of Harry Potter" in February 2016, were all smiles as they posed for the cameras. This also isn't the only dose of Harry Potter nostalgia we've received this week. Evanna Lynch, Jason Isaacs, and James and Oliver Phelps (aka Luna Lovegood, Lucius Malfoy, and the Weasley twins) stopped by the Warner Bros. »

Don't Tell Filch, but These Harry Potter Stars Just Went Into the Forbidden Forest

8 March 2017 8:50 AM, PST | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

One of the best things the Harry Potter franchise has given us (in addition to wonderful quotes, crazy theories, and Harry Potter weekends on Freeform) is the amount of nostalgic reunions between the film's many stars. Evanna Lynch, Jason Isaacs, and James and Oliver Phelps (aka Luna Lovegood, Lucius Malfoy, and the Weasley twins) stopped by the Warner Bros. Studio Tour's new Forbidden Forest expansion in Watford, England, on Wednesday. Since it doesn't open to the public until March 31, the group got a special preview of Buckbeak the hippogriff, Aragog the giant (terrifying) spider, and more. Maybe they coordinated their hangout in the Harry Potter group chat? Related:The Only Story More Magical Than Harry Potter Is J.K. Rowling's Own Journey »

Over the past 6 years we’ve had the pleasure of attending press events at the now world famous Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London. The attraction has become one of the most-see locations for any Harry Potter fan and today we were treated to something very special.

It’s been two years since we last visited Leavesden which has now become one of the key locations for filming at Warner Bros. Many of the sets for Guy Ritchie’s next movie King Arthur: Legend of the Sword were built there along with The Legend of Tarzan which came from Harry Potter Director and Producer David Yates and David Barron sitting next to the backlock are stages J & K (a coincidence amusingly) working in unison with Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling’s name housing many of the sets used in the Harry Potter movies.

Jason Issacs Reports for Duty as Captain on Star Trek: Discovery

7 March 2017 2:05 PM, PST | Cinelinx | See recent Cinelinx news »

Let’s pipe the new captain aboard cause the USS Discovery has its commanding officer with Jason Issacs.

You can’t have a Starfleet ship without a captain and Jason Issacs (Harry Potter, The Oa) just got command. The veteran actor seems a very good choice for the role in my opinion as he’s bringing a lot of solid acting ability to the role. I think it helps because Star Trek series need strong actors for those roles. Taking place a full decade before the original series it’s said the focus will be on an event that happened but has never been talked about before. He joins Doug Jones/ Saru, Sonequa Martin-Green/Rainsford, Anthony Rapp/Staments, James Frain/Sarek, and Mary Wiseman/Cadet Tilly.

Now the series has been repeatedly delayed due to numerous reasons and I suppose not having a skipper for that boat could have been a big contributing factor. »

Star Trek Discovery casting: Say hello to your new Starfleet Captain – Jason Isaacs

Author: Jon Lyus

With any future big screen adventures of Chris Pine’s Captain Kirk and the new (old) crew of the Enterprise looking unlikely, the sky’s the limit for a future for Star Trek on the small screen. CBS are looking for a huge hit from Star Trek Discovery despite the rocky start with the the departure of showrunner Bryan Fuller.

Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts are taking the helm for the initial thirteen episode run, and today it was announced that Jason Isaacs is joining the series as Captain Lorca. He’ll be in the Captain’s chair of the titular starship, alongside the cast already announced. This includes The Walking Dead’s Sonequa Martin-Green who will take her place on the crew as lieutenant commander Rainsford. Quite what this says about her future on the popular AMC show is anyone’s guess…
